"The house is high on a hill overlooking Oban. It's a little tricky driving up there but welcome to Old Scotland. There is a lot to see around Oban but we had some stormy weather when we were there so we went to the distillery."

"Excellent property, very quiet location with truly spectacular views. Easy communication with owner and minor problem with heating sorted immediately. Although the weather does not form part of the contract, we only had one day of rain. Only advice is - don't follow the last little bit of sat-nav route unless you are in something like a Hummer! "The property is situated a 10 minute drive from the town centre so is well located for any sightseeing that you want to do. The home itself is very spacious, has lots of storage, very comfy beds and cosy lounge room and a large enclosed back yard which was lovely to sit out in and enjoy a drink and our family members two small dogs had a wonderful time exploring in it. "The property is a delight. It’s cosy clean and warm. Not many places offer a view of an ancient castle. Richard shows huge interest in how guests recycle. The compost bin meant all our food waste doesn’t go to land fill. It’s our second time staying in Castle Cottage and would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a place to stay. "
