There are many positives which include the rooms, the food dinner and breakfast, the staff (who were just superb) and the owner who was only to happy to chat about the hotel and its history. "For £41 I had a very clean room, comfortable bed and a decent bathroom. I left before breakfast so can't comment on that but I did have my supper at the Lamb & Flag - same management - and it was excellent, a nice pub, very good food and superb Wye Valley Brewery beer. It doesn't pretend to be 5 star accommodation but as a place to stay on business it was very cheap and I feel I received more than my money's-worth. Very good."

"Felt very welcome from the start. Our room was clean, We had dinner which was very good and the menu was quite large . Breakfast was included and nothing was too much trouble if you wanted to swap from the menu. We have stayed here before and nothing has changed. The owners and staff could not do enough for us.
