We stayed at Siabot huts for a couple of nights over the bank holiday weekend. We had the three huts (two adults and two families) and Mena set them up so that one of them was for sleeping in and one as a living room, which worked out perfectly.
The view is breathtaking (especially from the hot tub) and the whole weekend was magical. The location feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but actually only 10 minutes from Betws-y-Coed, where you can find restaurants and shops.
Mena was an amazing host and I couldn't recommend Siabod Huts enough!!
Had a great few nights at Siabod Huts. Everything was perfect from location to Menna the lovely host. Sitting in the hot tub looking at that view is very special. Thanks Menna
We had an amazing stay in the siabod huts. The huts were comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed for a special weekend away. The love tub was amazing and a really great extra. Menna was attentive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend the huts to anyone looking for something a little bit special.
The Huts were gorgeous with a fabulous view, the hot tub was amazing and the fire in the hut made it so cosy at night. Menna was so lovely and helpful, she brought us fresh eggs (which were delicious) and had heated the hot tub for us on arrival and whilst we were out walking the next day. The location is great and close to so many things. I booked this as a surprise for my partners birthday and we had the most amazing weekend.
The hosts Menna and Emyr were really really friendly and helped us out a lot. Our son had a great time on the farm, seeing the lambs, playing with Jock and taking some rides on the farm vehicles. The breakfast was great and although we stayed in the farmhouse, we had a tour of the huts and they look amazing, with great views and hottubs! Can fully recommend the stay there.
We stayed for two nights in August. It is a working farm so expect tractors, sheep, cows and other farm animals in the yeard.
The room is clean and spacious.
The service from the hostess is excellent
The farm was in a beautiful countryside setting . The room was comfortable and well equipped and even had cuddly toys for the children in the bunk beds . There was a large bathroom nearby across the hallway and a cosy breakfast room downstairs . Menna the hostess was very friendly and cooked a delicious breakfast . My daughter loved the chickens which roamed the farm and bottle fed the lambs one morning which was the highlight of her stay !
First class huts! Everything about this accommodation is excellent. The bedroom hut is comfortable and the wood burner makes it incredibly cosy. The kitchen/shower/loo hut is well equipped and so much better than camping in a tent. There’s a cool box with ice packs replaced daily. The dual ring cooker/grill is more than adequate to make simple meals.
There’s a cafetière and ground coffee and a good sized tea pot. All brew tackle (except milk) is provided.
It’s a really peaceful location, hardly any traffic on the road and at night the odd owl and by day the sheep in the adjacent field are the only noises you will hear.
There’s full 4G thanks to a nearby mast.
The highlight is the lovely hot tub, heated by a wood stove lit by the owner before you arrive and again on further days of the stay. The view from the huts (and the hot tub) over Moel Siabod and Snowdon is superb.
We stayed at Tyddyn Du for two nights, and had a great time. Menna was a wonderful host and we were made to feel very welcome. Food was great and the surroundings were stunning. We will happily stay here again next time we are in the area.
Really nice place to stay and very friendly place. Large family room with plenty of space. Very clean bathroom. Wanted to book next year but already fully booked
Our host Menna was so lovely! She made sure we had a great stay and served delicious breakfast at the time that suited us best! Will definitely be back!
We were greeted at the door by the owners who showed us through our own little entrance to the house. They gave us tea and cake and were extremely helpful in planning where to go for dinner that evening (the local Indian had the best dishes we've ever had in a Balti house, we'd thoroughly recommend it). Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and warm. There was a tea tray and fridge in the room, which were nice touches. There was a sink in the room too so that you didn't need to keep nipping into the bathroom to get ready. The bathroom had loads of hot water. Breakfast this morning was delicious, freshly cooked and piping hot. The home made marmalade is well worth a try. Overall we had a fabulous stay, we were made to feel very welcome.
Suited our purpose very well, allowed us to walk along the many designated footpaths within the Snowdonia National Park and enjoy the peace and quiet at night.
The nearby towns offered a number of restaurants and drinking establishments.
As a working farm there are a number of animals roaming around which the kids found very amusing, we were invited to see more of the farm but did not have the time. Maybe next time we will stay in the hut and pod for a glamping experience.
We had the most wonderful weekend at Tyddyu Du. The family were amazing, allowing our children to bottle feed the lambs and see week old puppies - my children wanted to move in. The accommodation is fantastic and every care has been taken to ensure that it has everything you could possibly need.
We are already planning our next stay and could not recommend it more highly
Needed somewhere quiet to stay for one night on our way back home from Holyhead, as it was a Saturday we didn't fancy most places as they were all either way to expensive and/or had a pub/bar attached (not good when you are trying to get a toddler and yourself to sleep) the siabod huts were the perfect solution tucked away up a hill above Betws-y-coed with no noise except the farm animals. It was a pretty chilly April night and most of the nearby mountains were capped with snow, nevertheless the little bedroom hut was more than adequately heated by the little stove and in the end we let it go out intentionally, relighting it easily in the morning. Nothing against the host Menna who was very welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay a great one but be warned there is no breakfast included in the price (hotels.com have stated this wrongly on their website) however if you don't mind paying extra and cooking it yourself as part of the glamping experience then this place will suit you fine.
B&B på lantgård. Trånga slingrande vägar till platsen. Rummet låg i bostadshuset. Gemensamt badrum. Trevligt välkomnande. Bra och god traditionell engelsk/walesisk frukost.
Långt från närmsta ort. Fantastisk utsikt.
Kor och får runtikring på ägorna alldeles intill huset.
