This is a beautiful and comfortable.place to get away from it all and enjoy a few days of serenity in the beauty of nature. The ranch was ours to walk and explore. We enjoyed it immensely. Andi is a thoughtul and responsive hostess.
If you’re looking for a few days of peace and quiet close to nature but still have all basic creature comforts accounted for, this place is great. We had great weather and spent almost all of our time outside with our children and cooked meals we brought over the large fire pit each evening. A perfect getaway for a small family of non-campers that wanted to simplify for a few days and get out in nature.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay. No traffic noise; only nature sounds or just silence. The cabin was very comfortable and functional. The acreage was fun to explore, both on foot and using the cart. The fire pit allowed for great fires, and we appreciated the s'mores fixin's left for us. And the wildflowers all over the property were outstanding. So much color and beauty. We will definitely return.
Fabulous place to get away from it all. Very relaxing. Property is wonderful.
Great place to get away from it all.
Love to see the place when the creek is full but that not take away from the fabulous location and views.
The temp we temperatures were over 100 degrees when we stayed but sitting on the patio under the shade of the oak trees was a great way to relax and forget about the world.
The cabin is well equipped and very comfortable.
We really enjoyed our break
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Remote location, off the beaten path - it was what we were looking for, and then some. Gorgeous views, an abundance of deer, porch swings, fire pit, barbeque grill, smoker, and a Polaris to use during your stay.
I have stayed at several properties using VRBO and all were very nice, but this is the first one that I would like to visit again. It is very clean, and both bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We could not be more pleased with our stay. The host was quick to respond to any inquiries that we had and very helpful.
There are so many great things to say about this property! The responsiveness of the owners, the helpfulness of the ranch hand, the home and beauty of the location - just to name a few. We had an absolutely fantastic visit. In addition to the beauty there were wild turkeys, a bobcat, raccoons and coyotes yipping in the distance. The house was comfortable, clean, well stocked with a western feel. We loved it. We definitely recommend this location if you enjoy getting out in the country. Our trip timing was perfect as the blue bonnets were just emerging and added a little something extra to our stay.
We stayed at the cute cabin on Hill Country trip to pick up wine and visit a couple of new wineries! Very accessible to Marble Falls, Llano, Burnett, 290 wineries and Fredericksburg. Quiet and great star-gazing when clear skies. Bedrooms worked for us, although mattresses were softer than we would choose. Bathroom is small but roomy. Shower is tiled in white with a place to sit if needed. Kitchen had enough plates and flatware; pans for cooking if needed. Small eating bar in kitchen. Cozy sitting room. Patio outside was wonderful! We did not use the firepit because we were not there very long, but will on another visit. Could see ducks and birds every morning. Also saw deer one evening. Had fun using the Cart one evening around the property. Highly recommend if you need some peace and quiet, or a place for your young ones to move around!
This was our first getaway in three years, and it was exactly what we were looking for in a destination. We are in our mid-fifties and early-sixties but very active and love the outdoors. If we had to describe the overall trip in one word, it would be tranquility. We stayed for five nights which gave us time to walk the entire property. Once we identified our favorite spots, we either walked back or we took the electric cart and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The entire property was covered in a beautiful sea of bluebonnets. Simply stunning. It's so quite that all you can hear is the abundance of wildlife. The white tail deer cross the creek within a few hundred feet of the cabin each morning and evening. In addition to the deer, our Australian Cattle Dog was fascinated by the wild turkeys, rabbits, armadillos, opossum, fox, and racoons that we encountered. We also viewed a Bald eagle over Sandy Creek. If you love star gazing, this is the place to do it. There is absolutely no light pollution and we enjoyed laying back and just being amazed by the thousands (millions?) of stars we could see. The property and cabin are simply perfect and very well maintained. And you won't find a more accommodating and gracious host than Andi. She immediately responded to any questions we had in a manner that made us feel like she was a good friend. Although there are plenty of great areas to visit nearby, we only left the property twice. We simply enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the location. The creek was dry during our visit, but it did not detract from our enjoyment, and we made many great memories. I have a digital frame on my desk at work and I've already uploaded dozens of beautiful photos that we took. You owe it to yourself to visit this property. Thank you, Andi and Brady, for providing us with the perfect vacation destination. Best, Smith & Suzanne.
We had a great time at the property at the property and it was fun to see coyotes, cows, wild pigs in the area. There’s no light where you turn onto 308 and so it’s just good to be aware of that. We had a wonderful time starting campfires and grilling.
Absolutely loved my stay here. It was even better than the pictures. So peaceful sitting outside in the mornings and watching the sunrise. Will definitely be back many more times.
Let me start by saying that we were thiiiiis close to seeing if the property had availability to extend our stay, because we did not want to leave. If we hadn't needed to be back home for Thanksgiving, we definitely would've. You won't want to leave this place!
Our host, Andi, was very responsive anytime we had questions. I'm happy that she included the coordinates with the property details because Google Maps didn't quite get us there correctly. From the minute we entered the beautiful property, we saw deer. From then on, we saw cardinals, a flock of wild turkeys and an armadillo even walked right by us as we sat on the porch one evening!
The house has all the amenities you need for your stay. My advice would be to make sure you wipe your shoes off as you enter the door, because we inadvertently brought a few sticker burrs in, as we unpacked our belongings from the car. You'll only need to step on them once, to remind you to wipe your shoes well or take them off and leave them by the door!
Make sure you use the buggy and explore the property. We watched sunsets from one of the clearings by Sandy Creek and it made for a beautiful way to end the day.
While the creeks by the house are somewhat dry right now, the super friendly Ranch Manager told us to walk down to a different part of the creek and we were able to fish.
We would return to this property in a heartbeat. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this should be your next visit!
Our gps didn’t get us all the way to the location so we got lost for a minute but once we found it everything was great. It’s a hidden gem! Cute, clean cabin with cozy bed.
My husband and I, along with our two labs stayed here for two nights. Absolutely delightful, especially if you are looking for quite walks in the hill country. This was our first stop along the Texas Hill Country Overland Route and it worked perfect. The home is charming, but the porch is where you hang. We would definitely visit again. Even though the Texas drought has taken a toll on the area, the property and wildlife are worth visit.
Fantastic property! Wanted a little time away from it all with our college kids, and this property really fit the bill. The stone cabin is gorgeous and fully appointed. Loved the Llano county location off the beaten path with all of the wildlife. Our kids enjoyed exploring the property on the ATV and we appreciated being able to bring along our dog. Hope to return for another stay again soon.
This place is absolutely beautiful! We fell in love with the property, we enjoyed the experience, watching all the wildlife is so peaceful, the owners and the ranch foreman was so helpful! We enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back again!
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Comanche Creek cabin. Had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. My husband caught and released several fish, including nice sized bass. I enjoyed walking the property with our little dog Benji and sitting on the porch watching the wildlife. We made good use of the bbq pit and just generally enjoyed resting up, disconnected from the distraction of our mobile devices. Perfect! Thank you!!!
