The Local Area
Situated in the south west corner of Anglesey, Bron Haul is a great house from which to explore the sights and delights of Anglesey. It's just a short drive from Plas Newydd, a National Trust property with stunning gardens and interesting house tours. Halen Mon, famed for its Anglesey sea salt production, is just a stone's throw away and offers indulgent seaweed baths as well as a great gift shop with lots of local produce. The next village along the coast is Newborough with its wonderful red squirrel forest and the magnificent Llanddwyn Beach with island and lighthouse accessible at low tide, The island is steeped in legend and is said to have been the 5th century home of Saint Dwynwen, the patron saint of love (and the Welsh equivalent of Saint Valentine) whose life is celebrated on January 25th.
