"In a word, quaint. In my world that is a good word. Every person/staff well mannered and courteous and in no way overbearing.... Their wording to describe WiFi was in my world incorrect, they described it as available in public areas which should have been, available in communal areas...however👍this got solved on my 2nd day when WiFi was correctly configured everywhere which was superb! A huge thumbs up to them for enabling this... Breakfast was just "thrown in" with the cost which was an amazing thing to do, cannot fault the place, Building and front door a little old now but this is being really nitpicky and made no difference to the overall pleasure of staying there and look forward to doing it again sometime soon....good luck to them! 👍🤗"

"Nice clean family room, exactly as the pictures showed, perfectly functional room. Nice breakfast, served until 10 , which is nice if you’re a bit lazy in the morning! Great location, bang in the middle of town , 10 mins walk to the castle, and plenty of pubs and restaurants. The bar prices were quite steep (£7.35 a pint!!) but the cocktails were reasonably priced. There’s plenty of options in town. The jewel in the crown for this hotel is the pool area. It’s really wonderful, beautifully tiled, nice and big, we were there during half term and it wasn’t too busy. We really liked library aswell, very cosy with its big setees"

"Only stayed for the night; great spot nice views from the courtyard. Didn't use the restaurant or bar. But very pleased with breakfast; nice selection and hours. Impression is of a clean professionally kept space. "

"Stayed here for one night. Great location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Was a great view to wake up practically on the promenade. Exterior could do with a makeover but dont let that put you off. I think there is currently some sort of refurb going on downstairs by reception area. I would definitely stay again."

"We had a great one nighter away, visiting friends and family. The hotel is on a great location and our room had a fantastic view over the bay. The room was big, when choosing a Superior, the bed was large and comfortable and it had lovely extra's that I thought were lovely such as a fridge, robes and slippers, Elemis product and some sweets and water for own consumption. The service was great and breakfast was comprehensive with some non-traditional items available. The continental selection was great as well. We look forward to our next stay."

"Lovely atmospheric hotel with interesting architecture The staff were all very friendly and helpful The garden are nice even in February but too wet out to fully explore. Could do with a bit of touching up here and there but our room was very comfortable with the biggest shower ever!"
