"Best way to describe the hotel is an Old hotel with an inefficient design, the staff were amazingly nice and helpful. The Eyri Longue staff included. Its situated perfectly for anyone who is doing Snowdon by foot or train. With the main bus interchange outside giving you access to Bangor and the rest of north Wales. Few things need repairing and modernizing. USB ports in the room being the main one. "

"Recently renovated everything was modern in style and new in condition. The room was warm, cosy and comfortable, especially the en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was also top drawer offering a wide range for different tastes. Would like to return at a future date."

"Myself and my partner stayed here for the first time over 4 years ago and have been itching to come back since We stayed here again 2 weeks ago and had the most amazing time On our first visit we stayed in the main hotel which was gorgeous , bed was comfortable food was delicious This time we staying in the cabanas which were amazing So private had everything you needed in there weather you were having a cozy night in or just popping in and out We have already booked our next day and are going to become regulars as often as possible "

"I had a great stay at Y Pengwern Hotel. The room was super cozy, spotless, and had everything I needed to feel right at home - perfect for winding down after a day out. I really appreciated the extra heaters they provided—perfect if you like the room toasty and warm. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. It looked right out over the mountains, and catching the sunrise and sunset from there made the whole trip feel even more special. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, which added to the relaxed, welcoming vibe of the place. I’d happily stay there again!"

"Such was the quiet we experienced, both of us slept like logs which was particularly welcome since we were on a pairs golf trip and needed our rest! Plenty of hot water in the shower, comfortable beds and decent coffee & tea making facilities for the morning get go. A definite mapping marker a return visit one day."

The host greeted us on arrival and from then on the cottage and vast garden was ours to enjoy in peace and solitude. "We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub. Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills. We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch. The room was surfice and had ensuite. Outside window had all scafolding( no body working on it whilst there on our stay) just cut out alot of light. Food & drinks fantastic,good choices on the menu also breakfast. Great team chefs and bar team. Very nicely laid out restaurant. All very attentive ,polite and good banter. We were there to visit Portmerian but also explored a few other places too that were on the door step. The beaches are 10 mins yo 50 min drive we drove along the costal areas and visited the litte villages. Portmerian is truly spectacular, magical and fairy tale like. All in all our stay was perfect."
