Beautiful Lakefront Home - 4BR/3BA - Huge Lot! - 400ft of bulkhead - Boathouse

Come visit our spacious remodeled lakefront home located in a quiet gated community in West Livingston. With 3 large bedrooms plus 3 additional beds upstairs in the loft, our home is set up perfectly for an extended family, two families, or multiple couples. Each of the three large bedrooms have new King size mattresses and the loft has two new twin beds and a queen size day bed to sleep three more. Each of the three bathrooms have been recently remodeled with new tile and showers and a small luxurious tub in the master bedroom. We have a new 65” LED TV in the living room and new TVs in each bedroom with cable TV. High speed internet is available at the house with Wifi accessible from the entire property.
Our home sits on a one-acre lot with the lake bordering two sides of the property. With nearly 400ft of bulkhead surrounding the property there are spectacular views and places to fish or watch the birds and squirrels. Pine trees are found throughout the property which provide shade in the summer and color in the winter. From the back porch you can watch the sun rise over the lake and horizon and from the front porch and sun deck you can see beautiful sunsets.
In the backyard we have a boathouse with two powered lifts with straps to keep a boat if you bring or rent one with a patio on top to relax and catch amazing views and nice breezes. We have four kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard you are free to use and our protected location on the lake allows for calm water much of the year. The lake forms an inlet on the side of our property with shallower water and a sandy bottom which makes for a great swimming area.
The area near our home is well known for catfish and white bass fishing. We are located very close to Penwaugh marina for easy access to fuel and the boat launch.
We are located only about 10 minutes from stores and restaurants in both Livingston and Onalaska. We are close to Lake Livingston state park. We are also a short drive to Big Thicket National Preserve and the Sam Houston National forest for hiking trails and recreation.
Please note that there is an older couple that live in our detached garage apartment in the front of the property and help manage the yard and minor house maintenance.

Our whole family really enjoyed our stay.The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The decor was nice, with festive touches of Christmas! The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots/pans, cooking tools, and dishes.We enjoyed use of kayaks and fire pit. We took advantage of the area’s great walking trails.

Much needed get away.
My wife and I visited from the Houston area. The drive to the house was easy. The house and the location are beautiful. Great views of the water, fishing, and nearby hikes. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely rent this property again.

Just what we were looking for
We had a great stay at this property! It was the perfect size for our group (6 adults, 2 kids) with plenty of things to keep us entertained and active. We enjoyed fishing from the property with plenty of space for all of us to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked, except we had to share a steak knife for dinner and we couldn't find a large microwavable bowl.

New Years Family trip
Our family of 7 people stayed 3 nights to welcome the new year 2024. The property was beautiful. We spend most of the time outdoors using the large fire pit and comfortable seating areas. The interior of the house was cute, cozy and inviting. We loved the huge windows in the bedrooms and living room giving us amazing views of all the trees and lake in the backyard. The beds were comfortable and plenty of warm soft blankets during the cold evenings. The hosts were communicative during the booking process and Jack ( person living on property grounds ) was super attentive when needed, very personable and always respectful of our privacy. We really enjoyed our time here and we would love to come back again soon.

Fantastic Getaway!
This home is beautifully updated and the pictures do not do it justice. The neighborhood is very quiet and is private. We enjoyed swimming during the day (there’s a lake ladder) and making s’mores at night on the fire pit. The property has beautiful trees and they provide plenty of shade as well. The beds are very comfortable and kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped w everything we needed. Jack was great and let us know we could reach out to him if we needed anything. Also Joy is very easy to reach and provided us with restaurant recommendations since we were new to the area. Definitely recommend this place and we cannot wait to go back!

Just as Advertised
This property was just as expected and did not disappoint. It was clean and comfortable (comfortable beds and pillows) and the owner was very responsive to all communication. It comfortably slept our family of 8. The yard and lake were nice but because we were there in July during a heat wave (and we are from the northeast!) we did not spend much time outdoors. The only negative was that the entryway and the bathroom near it did not really cool off much because of being so close to the front door (and maybe there were no AC vents out there-?) so we did not use that bathroom for showers because it was too warm. There are two other full bathroom however so it was not a big problem. I would recommend this rental for a family with older children (ages 4 - 6 and up) because there is no tub (all showers are stall) so no tub baths for little ones.

This property looks even better in person. Photos do not give it justice. The vrbo owner is very responsive and so easy going. For starters the rooms are spacious and have super comfy beds. Usb ports are such a great add and fans for extra comfort. The labels on each light switch and electronic was such a great idea and very helpful. The kitchen had some condiments and spices available which was a life saver because we forgot salt and pepper. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed! No complaints there. The outdoors was just better than described. Kayaks and paddleboard were so much fun to use. Recommend lots of sunblock because the lake will burn ya. The outdoor lawn chairs are placed in such the perfect spot, the wind blows to keep you cool, we spent 70% of our time there. Walmart and major grocery chains are less than 10 minutes away, so we didnt need to travel with our groceries. Great memories were made and there wasnt a bad photo opportunity on the whole property. Its well maintained and groomed. We are thinking of more dates ao we can come back. The living room area with large tv and having access to tv subcriptions was another nice touch. We all got to cuddle provided blankets and watch netflix. I could go on and on about our stay but some memories just have to stay where they were created. Definitely recommend this vrbo!

As can happen, an issue arose with the house but Al &Joy were extremely responsive to resolve the problem! Our family had a great stay at their lovely property. We loved sitting by the fire pit and tooling around the lake on the kayaks. Perfect place for a multi-generational getaway.
