Modest home close to Anfield
This 3BR/1BA house is located near Anfield and Goodison Park, as the listing suggests. At the same time, you are 2 miles from the Liverpool City Centre. Modern restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, bus terminal and train station are all at City Centre. We did our grocery shopping at City Centre and brought our groceries back on the bus. There is a convenience store down the street from the house but their supply and selection is extremely limited. Restaurant options within walking distance are also very limited. The property manager/owner was responsive. The house has three bedrooms, but the smallest bedroom has barely enough room for the single bed in it. The beds were made with clean linens. The bathroom was vacuumed but my wife cleaned the inside of the tub; shampoo, conditioner and bath gel were provided. There house has a modern heated towel rack. The kitchen was small and dated. The appliances were dated, with the exception of the washer/dryer combo and a range hood. The microwave was tiny, and there was no dishwasher. We were fine doing dishes by hand but there were no kitchen linens, sponges or pads to wash or dry the dishes with; only paper towels. There was some dish soap but it wasn't clear if or how previous visitors had used it. Wifi and TV were fine.We paid 937 GBP (1143 USD) for 4 nights, about the same price as a 4-star hotel in the City Centre. At this price point, we expected more from a vacation rental.
