Large fully equipped kitchen with DOUBLE oven. Island seating for 5+ people. Kitchen table expandable up to 10' feet seats 14 people. Two laundry areas one on the main floor and one downstairs. Game room downstairs with foosball. Game table for cards or board games. Wet bar with full size refrigerator. Smart TV’S , WIRELESS INTERNET. Dual zone A/C and heating. Main floor 800 s/f deck with patio table (seating for 8) and gas grill. Four gliding chairs for SUN BATHING or relaxing on Main Floor deck. Downstairs 800 s/f covered patio with many chairs. Large driveway for parking multiple cars, also area for parking boat or trailer. Approximately 1 mile from Food Lion shopping center, gas station, drug store, and local restaurants.

Awesome stay
We celebrated my mother’s 78th birthday and this place was perfect for it. It accommodated our large family and it was stocked with everything needed to make an awesomely successful weekend.

Great place to stay for the weekend! Plenty of beds, beautiful lake, lifts for two boats, large dock, and close to the store. Owner was fantastic at clearing up an issue that came up. Would stay again!

Blue Heron Getaway
Wonderful large house on Lake Gaston perfect for a family of 12 or more. Great deck space at house and on dock. Water activities easily accessible for all ages. Kitchen well supplied, grocery store nearby, marina down the road. Host was available when called and responded to our requests immediately. This house is the perfect fit for a large group.

Work retreat
My company held an event at Lake Gaston and several of my coworkers rented this house for a couple of days to attend the event. It is a beautiful home with an amazing view. What a great place to relax and hang out with friends. We did not want to leave. This would be a perfect house for a family vacation to the lake. Plenty of space, beautifully decorated, and conveniently located to the grocery store and local restaurants.

Very Relaxing
We all really enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing, the host was great, and the kitchen was fully stocked with cups, plates, and other needed dinnerware. The only drawbacks were that there was 1 television in the whole home and that there wasn’t a new dish sponge to use. Otherwise, it was great and we plan on coming back!

We rent a house at Christmas so our family can get together and send time with each other This is our third year and this house was awesome The perfect amount of space Perfect description and photos are spot on So thankful for a great time and a beautiful house Also with small children it was nice to have a house with less personal items and knick knacks out

Great annual reunion with friends
Blue Heron Lodge is huge and very well appointed. The double level dock is a fantastic hang out place. We were four older couples who reconnect every year. We all used to be neighbors and two couples have moved away - this is equi-distance between all of us. The kitchen was fabulous, and we loved the deck and the dock space. There is no canoe, as in the amenity list, just one kayak, but lots of tubes to lounge in off the dock (take ropes if you plan to do this). Lovely stay.

Perfect for 5 couples
The owner was easy to work with and communicated clearly. There is so much room in this home (and outdoors) to spread out. We needed 5 bedrooms with either queen or king size beds for our 5 couples, so this was a good fit. It seemed like each room was well-insulated. We didn’t hear any noise from any other part of the home while sleeping. The rockers on the back porch were favorites of all of us!

Needs work but great location
The property was in a great location and the deep water dock was great. The layout of the house was good for our 16 people but the house needs a lot of work and it was not up to par for cleanliness. Needs carpets cleaned and pests controlled. The deck and below the deck needs power washing. The condition of the deck was dangerous with nails sticking up and splinters. Had to go buy wash cloths and towels. If you advertise sleeping 16, then you need to supply for 16 people.

Calming retreat
A group of church ladies enjoyed rest at the lake and renewal in Jesus. The huge windows overlooking the lake provided the perfect scenery, just like we were in a movie. All of us recommend a stay here!
