"There are lots of wonderful things about this small hotel. Its very friendly staff, beautifully decorated room (we stayed in a garden room), comfy bed, large modern bathroom with a huge walk in shower, efficient heating, possibility to open a window, comfortable lounge with Sunday papers, small bar and a good restaurant. I also appreciated the free parking at the back of the hotel with easy access to rooms and reception. My only complaint would be that breakfast, especially at weekends ends way...

"We booked an overnight stay as having a girls weekend in Bath. I chose this hotel for the location, value and from previous reviews. Firstly the staff were all very warm, welcoming and professional. The hotel is a stones throw walking distance to the local bus stops ( bus goes straight through to Bath £3 pp each way) our bedroom was let's say a little dated as such and needed a little TLC but it was clean and tidy, basic necessities in place and spacious for a twin. "Nicely furnished room, comfortable bed and excellent shower. All staff friendly and accommodating. Wide range of dining options for dinner, breakfast a great spread available and recommend the breakfast bap. Tiny minus point, my wife’s eggs Benedict had overdone eggs. Would definitely revisit. "

"Despite arriving late in the evening, I was made to feel welcome. The room was freshly redecorated, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely too. Staff all very friendly. I was told by the taxi driver how amazing the food is, but didn't get a chance to stay for dinner, maybe next time!"

"We are repeat customers. This is probably our 7th or 8th visit. Love the area...great for walks. Love how remote The High Corner Inn is. There seems to be a high staff turnover the past few years however bar and restaurant staff were excellent on this visit and couldn't have been more welcoming. Only two complaints...it has become quite expensive and the food quality is not as good. We all felt that the value for money in terms of food and drinks was not as good as in the past. "The Hat het is a loverly picturesque pub/ hotel. Welcome excellent, food and ambiance perfect. VFM good. The thing that let it down was cleanliness of the room- smeared bathroom mirror looked like it was cleaned with a soiled cloth ( had to clean it to see any reflection!) the toilet rim covered in hair & dust & the lamp shades & corners of the room rife with cobwebs. We did enjoy our stay however and we did report the room dissatisfaction to the young service lady but no apology or explanation...

"We booked the property to celebrate my Mother in law's 80th birthday and it couldnt have been any better. The sizeable property had everything we needed along with plenty of space for our party of 21 to spread out.
