"Certainly not for everyone, but if you’re up for a unique stay with a rustic feel, Stone Cottage is great. The house was well appointed (even spices, coffee filters etc), clean and oozed authenticity of the old West. The farm animals, especially Calamity Jane, were a huge plus, and it was fun to help feed them and hear about the history of the homestead. Super quiet, waking up to the call of the roosters. The owner, Joe, could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Communication was great...

"The cottage was absolutely perfect, and the panoramic view of mountains and the sunrise/sunset were even better. Super cozy sleeping/living quarters. Lake Montezuma is very quiet and has even less light pollution than Sedona. We stayed here and drove 30 minutes to Sedona to hike and explore, we will definitely be coming back to this spot when we're back in the area. Hosts were fantastic."

"We loved having an open fire to heat the home (on top of the central heat of course) it created an amazing ambiance for Christmas time! The house backs right up to the edge of the forest so it is great for spontaneous hikes with the family! "

"The property was clean and accurately listed. The emailed instructions were incredibly helpful in locating it as maps got a bit confused. But we were able to anticipate this and that made all the difference. The grounds were quiet and well maintained. the bed was probably the most comfortable bed ive ever slept on, on any vacation. our host was super accommodating when i needed to shift our dates a bit due to a mistake on my part. I would recommend this gem to anyone"
