Great place to bring small children for there first kayak trip, little bear was a prefect place for the 5of us . Really enjoyed the creek an the view of the entire place.
It was my son's birthday. We (I) needed a break. This was a wonderful choice. Its quiet and very relaxed. Love every minute of the trip and will be back.
This property is beautiful! The view is spectacular of the creek. You get you own private balcony plus access to the great big balcony that is shared with the cabin next door. Underneath the cabin is a big patio for lounging. It is right on the creek. The cabin was very clean. Well decorated. Owner is very quick with responses. We had an amazing time. Kayaked, fished, swam, explored, and just hung out!! Me, my husband, 15 yr old, 12 yr old, and 7 yr old.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Great location. Great cabin. Several cons.
First off the cabin was very comfortable and the location on the water was nice. We did enjoy our stay.
Now to the cons. Which are plentiful, but definitely something the owners can work on.
1.)The listing does not show you that the kayak business is ran directly under the cabin. When staying on the weekend it is very loud. You will not get to sleep in or take naps if staying on the weekend. You see everything coming off the water and I mean EVERYTHING!
2.) This was my first VRBO experience where I was clueless about checking in. I had no idea where to go or what to do. I had to call to find out that you check in with the kayak rentals and they close at 6pm. We didn’t know this beforehand and luckily got there at 5:30.
3.) The pictures make it look like you are able to park next to the cabin, but that’s not the case. You have to park in the fields with the kayak renters. They really need dedicated parking for cabin renters as this is really inconvenient when unloading things for the weekend.
4.) The young men working there have a lot of down time while waiting on floaters to come in. They sat directly under the cabin and talked very loud about teenage things. Hint hint some things were not appropriate for younger ears. The pictures show an area under the cabin with seating, but during the day it is occupied by the workers.
5.) The listing states it sleeps 6, but it only sleep 4.
6.) There isn’t an electric plug in the bathroom. I had to dry my hair on the bed without a mirror.
7.) There is a coffee pot, but only one coffee mug. There isn’t anything there for use if you decide to grill. I assumed we would have basic needs for grilling or making sandwiches, but that wasn’t the case. The cabinets picture are not filled with anything you would need to grill. You will need to pack everything you will need if you plan to grill.
8.) The property surrounding the cabin is littered with trash especially around the kayaks and canoes. I would suggest that management have these young men working to walk the property picking trash up throughout the day. Friday night I sat 2 broken chairs by some trash cans and they were still there when we left Sunday.
Overall the cabin is nice and clean. However, it’s more like a hotel room. I definitely feel it’s overpriced for what you get. I was hoping for a quiet weekend and that is NOT an option with the business being operated directly under you.
This place was amazing. The location is perfect truly tranquil. Not real far off the beaten path and when you see how peaceful it is you’ll be blown away at how quiet it is. The property owner and staff are very welcoming. The site was a little taxing to navigate. I brought that to the staffs attention and they said they were going to address it because they were unaware. The description said only one bed and to our pleasant surprise there was actually two. They cabin is very adequately furnished quite cozy with a touch of Chip & Joanna Gaines. The staff was very accommodating and helpful to our needs and desires during our stay. If you have the opportunity to stay there you will not be disappointed. Other then of Mother Nature acts up. Our stay was during the week and never was crowded we couldn’t tell you about the weekends we’ve only been there during the week and pretty much had the run of the creek. We will definitely be back. Great way and place to bond with your loved ones.
So happy to have found this place! We love to camp and kayak and our first time staying and floating here, can NOT wait to come back to do it again! They were so helpful and nice and the whole site is amazing and full of everything you need! Crystal clear waters and sun and we are happy! Thank you all
The cabin was pretty much just as pictured, but there were two queen beds instead of one. Everything was very clean, except for some dead flies (which are to be expected this time of year). Very nice porch area for relaxing. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and outdoor grills. I would recommend adding some silverware and a few basic utensils. The environment is very busy during the day when people are renting kayaks, but very quiet and peacful in the evening. We enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again!
