Luí na Gréine (Sunset) is a beautiful tradition style, three bedroom cottage attached to another smaller rental property, Eirí na Gréine (Sunrise). These two properties share the same building but are very private from one another, each having a separate parking area, entry and patio with outdoor furniture.


Luí na Gréine (Sunset) is a traditional style cottage tastefully decorated. Two king bedrooms, one ensuite, one triple (double & single) bedroom, main bathroom with wet-room shower as well as a separate toilet with handbasin off the utility room. Beautifully finished hand painted kitchen – dining area with hand crafted furniture. Spiral staircase leading to spacious upstairs balcony with ocean views. Separate lounge with TV and gas coal - affect fire.

On the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way, the cottage overlooks the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and Galway Bay. 3km from Lisdoonvarna - famous spa town. 5km from Doolin, home of traditional music and good restaurants. Ideal base for touring the Burren region which is a haven for botanists, archaeologists, rock climbers and cavers. Beautiful scenic walks in the surrounding area, which is adjacent to the ‘Burren Way’ walking trail. Convenient to Lahinch with its blue flag beach, championship golf course and indoor leisure pool and aquarium. The shortest ferry crossing to the Aran Islands runs from Doolin a number of times daily.

Great stay in County Clare
We really enjoyed our stay here, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The house was super clean! Arrival instructions were easy and the hosts were very flexible with check in check out times. The location was great for exploring Cliffs of Moher, Doolin Cave, Aran Islands and much more. Fantastic stay outside of doolin
We had a great stay just outside of Doolin. Great launch place for cliffs of Moher hike, traditional pub music and exploring coast town of Lahinch. Some local lake were nice as well! We had a group of 7 including adult children and the house was perfect with a couple of sitting room options for quiet reading or noisy socializing. Well equipped kitchen.

Beautiful house with amazing views! Great location to explore the Burren area. Was perfect for our family. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. The views from the loft area are amazing, and the sunroom made for a great place to relax. My daughter and I loved the tiles in the bathroom, so pretty.

Relaxing holiday in a great holiday home!
Our stay in this holiday home was simply fantastic. The idyllic location in the middle of nature and the lovely furnishings immediately enchanted us. Easter getaway
Beautiful location, perfect for adult group of 7 including small dog. Place is spacious, clean and well equipped. Coffee machine is an added bonus! Nearby to cliffs of Moher and other attractions, coming back in evenings to see the view and watch the sun going down another bonus. John was on site to show us around the house shortly after we arrived - excellent hosts. Would highly recommend their place and will be back in the future.

A most comfortable and spacious house
This is a beautiful house, really spacious with a great kitchen that has everything you could ever need. It also has two living areas, ideal for when kids and adults. Fantastic views from the loft,. My favourite part was looking at the sun set and lights come up on the Aran Islands. The beds were really comfortable also. We all, three generations of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic week in a gorgeous spot
We had an unforgettable week in this beautifully refurbished cottage near the Clare coast, with magnificent views (in good weather!) of the Atlantic Ocean and the Aran Islands. John and Adrienne McMahon are friendly and helpful hosts, not in the least intrusive, and made us feel most welcome in their lovely vacation home, which is cozy in the evenings and also spacious enough for adults to spread out. We hope to come back, sooner rather than later. Come here if you get the chance!

Charming ocean View Cottage
My husband and I traveled to Ireland for the first time and we couldn't have asked for a more charming Cottage and wonderful hosts. The cottage was very welcoming, comfortable, clean, quite/peaceful and had beautiful views of the ocean in the distance and . Our hosts Adrienne and John were very nice and accommodating to any questions we had pertaining to the island or cottage. We recommend this place 100% and wish we could stay longer, but will definitely be back again! Come visit here as soon as you can, you won't be disappointed.

Coming down the hill from the center of Lisdoonvarna you are greeted with a breathtaking view of the country side, the Burren and the Aran Islands. We were greeted by the home owners who gave us a tour of the property and explained how everything works in the house. From there you are a short drive away from the pubs and restaurants in Doolin and Lisdoonvarna. If you are looking for a quiet get away look no further. I look forward to staying here again in the future. Highly recommend!

We were with friends from California and Monasterevin County Kildare. We had a wonderful time in your comfortable house and it is a great area with access to the Aran Islands, the music in Doolin, the friendly people in Listoonvarna shops, the sunset over the sea, and all points between. Absolutely perfect West Clare experience!
We rented both the cottage and the apartment for our family of 7! It was absolutely perfect in every way. Great location, incredible views from the property, very clean, and well-stocked! It was the perfect central location as we explored The Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Ennis, Ennistimon, Lahinch, Caherconnel Sheel Herding, Doolin Caves, Aran Islands, Bunratty Castle, and a trip west to Holy Island. We picked this location so everything was about an hour drive or less. It was important for our 2 young girls (3 & 1.5 years old) to have the same bedtime every night and not have to change properties. Hosts were so fast to answer every call or message! Could not have been a better experience!

Excellent house, close to many great spots in beautiful Clare
House was very clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 weeks and had a great time, lots to see and do in Clare. House is in a great central location to hit the highlights of the area. Owners Adrienne and John are excellent, great communication and responsive. There is now an adjoining other property added since this year, and there was usually other people staying there but we barely noticed or heard them so this house is still very private. Our only complaint is that internet connectivity is poor in the area, and depends on the mobile phone network, so often the house wifi or my phone couldn't get 3G internet connection (maybe a mobile antenna or booster could help). House is kitted out with everything you need. Have no fears in renting this house, it's fab!

Quiet neighborhood but no water for over 2 days!
We booked 4 nights stay the first day went smoothly but after that there were no water , the house located at the small town and we were forced to buy all bottle waters however we were told the water would be back within 12 hours, it didn’t happen, we couldn’t take shower couldn’t use toilets, so had to leave after the third day. I understand it’s not the hosts fault but it sucked when other hours had water in the street,ran into the problems like that, it’s nightmare. Otherwise the house is nice and clean.

Amazing location in the countyrside of Ireland
This cottage was a perfect choice for our family of four on our stay on the West Coast of Ireland. We wanted to get away from the bustle of Dublin, so we mde the trek to Lisdoonvarna to see the Wild Atlantic Way, and this cottage was the perfect "homebase" to do so. It is only a few minites from Doolin, which had great food and live music (our favorite was Gus O'Conners Pub). The Cliffs of Moher are nearby as well, and we spent a day hiking that path. Doolin Cave is alos minutes away and worth the trip. The cottage itself was spacious and comfortable. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and great areas to relax. My daughter loved the loft with views of the Atlantic! There is also a full kitchen if you want to make some mealsin the home to save money (eating out in Ireland gets very expensive). We went to a market that was about 18 mins away and got all we needed and the kitchen was ideal for us! I was honestly nervous about this trip since it was my first time driving in Ireland, but the hosts were amazing helpful and answered ALL my questions. It is worth noting that this cottage is very much in the country, where roads are crazy narrow and few have actual street names. Use the EIR CODE system on Google Maps and you will be fine! I cannot say enough about the coattage and how much we loved it!
