The apartment is beautiful, the Sweet Inn staff are also really great. Everything you need is there in the apartment - but only issue is if anything is missing you have to go to the Sweet Inn office (10 min away by cab or 15 min walk downhill) to get it, i.e concert or or tissue roll etc. That is annoying, especially if you have kids or anything with you. Other thing was, when we go to Lisbon we were asked to go to the office for the check-in instead of the concierge staff meeting us at the apartment. That was a bit disconcerting as we were new to Lisbon, don’t know the culture or the language and were asked to meet a random person at a different location so that was quite nerving and a bit worrisome. That shouldn’t have happened and in future the suite in staff need to make sure there is someone available to meet them at the location without any hiccups. Other than that one hic up it was a very pleasant stay, the location of this apartment is amazing and the suite in staff were very nice and helpful. Just a note the property is very old and things are either quite loose or tend to break easily - just be aware of this.

Perfect location, lovely little studio apartment
Perfect location, lovely little apartment and couldn’t fault the service and great communication with the local team. No air-con but considering the weekend we went was 43 degrees the apartment was surprisingly cool, we didn’t feel the need to put the fan on all night. One of the reasons we booked the apartment was because it advertised a roof terrace, it didn’t say anything about it only be accessible to certain apartments. We felt like this was a bit of false advertising, even the specific Studio apartment details in the Sweet Inn app before arrival still mentioned the roof terrace. Beware of the small ceilings, this actually wasn’t a problem for us as we are a short couple! But if you are nearly 6 foot you may struggle, I’m 5’2’’ and could touch the ceilings. Also, a few of small TLC/maintenance points needed; one bathroom bulb had gone, bathroom door needs a better handle in order to shut it, door hanging off in kitchen, cupboard door needs trimming so that it opens easily, coat hangers provided but no rail in cupboards. We ended up hanging items off of the room divider, but if you’re planning to cook then your clothes will smell of food.

Very convenient location and cosy apartment
All as advertised. Beautiful location. I am running out of time, but I would absolutely recommend this to anyone, including a family like ours with two young chilren.

Nice apartment in a quiet location
We didn't spend much time inside the apartment as we were out exploring the city but we had an over-all good experience in the apartment. If improvements are possible, change the living room sofa and chair to a more comfortable one and add towel hooks in the bathroom.

Panaramic view clean relaxing
Very good spectacular and clean the only downfall is you must be in good shape with your legs a lot of just climbing stairs but still worth the stay

The location of this place is great. However, nails were sticking up out of the floor, housekeeping was not provided, although it was requested and paid for and the airport pick up, which was requested and paid for, was not provided. Also, there was no information provided about the location, the tourist areas surrounding it in the Alfama and the Metro and bus system. We ran out of toilet paper and only had enough coffee for 4 days. We stayed 2 weeks.

Plenty of character
This was a really lovely studio apartment with lots of quirky extra touches such as piles of good books and interesting paintings. It was like a home from home and a great place to come back to in the evening. Also a great location right by the castle, a short walk into historic centre and with an assortment of nice restaurants nearby. Can't recommend enough!

The room was basically pleasant and comfortable but there were a few faults. Dodgy light switch on bedside light, the fridge ice box could only be opened by taking out the top tray of the frig as the built in kitchen was of poor build quality and didn't really work. bathroom OK but shower could scald someone. Bed comfortable. Surfeit of cushions. We never managed to get to grips with the TV. We did not cook but utensils appeared OK. The stairs to the apartment were unlit and a potential death trap. Despite all the above we quite liked it!

A little unsure of Sweetinns before, but all fine!
The Sweetinn representative (Pandora) arrived 15 mins early to our pre-agreed checkin time and was lovely. She gave us our keys and took us through the apartment. We paid €50 cleaning fee and €8 city taxes up front and she took a €400 deposit which is apparently only a blocked off amount on the card, and not an actual charge. To checkout we simply left the keys on the table on the last day and closed the door, no need to wait for anyone to come round. I'm told that upon inspection I should expect the block on my deposit to be removed within a couple of days, if not already. The apartment itself is ground floor from the front, with the bedroom windows facing the street so you'll be needing to keep them and the shutters closed during your stay. This makes the bedrooms really warm and there's no air conditioning, however two large (if noisy) electric fans were supplied. While being on the ground floor I wouldn't recommend this apartment for anyone with mobility issues as it's at the top of one of the steepest roads in Lisbon - really really tough climb. Calf soreness aside though the location is great, 20m from the castle! The back of the apartment is higher up due to the hill but there's a restaurant immediately below so your balcony lacks privacy. Great views though. All in all we enjoyed our stay and can recommend Sweetinns. The apartment is lovely and looks just like the photos, although the bath with a view is a lot smaller than we realised (2/3 of a standard bath).

Excellent service in a fabulous location
This stay was a delight! This building is unique, beautiful and located in the vibrant and culturally rich old town of Lisbon. The service I received from my host was personalised and friendly, and he gave me excellent recommendations for where I should eat, what I should visit and how best to explore the city over a few days. I'd highly recommend both this service and the apartment itself.

L'appartement est très bien situé, en plein cœur de l'alfama ! Néanmoins, l'appartement était plein d'humidité avec de fortes odeurs et de tâches autour des fenêtres, plafond et salle de bain. Plafond très bas, tapis très sale. Les photos ne reflètent pas avec l'appartement.
