duplex apartment rebuilt in 2012 and located in Lisbon, Alfama, in the historic area, typically Portuguese neighborhood in the heart of fado.

The apartment is located in central Lisbon, Alfama with the possibility of visiting several historical and religious monuments of Lisbon, without requiring the use of car.

1 bedroom apartment with independent access to the exterior, large spaces properly decorated where they sleep 4 people, composed of 1 double bedroom, 1 living room / 1 sofa bed where it sleeps 2 people comfortably, 1 reading room, 1 dining room, 1 Fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom equipped.

We will be available, whenever possible to make excursions to beaches, Belém, Cascais and Sintra (weekends - Saturday and Sunday), to make your stay unforgettable, including tourist brochures, tourist maps, indication of Portuguese gastronomy, etc.

Great place to stay in Lisbon!
Maria was super accommodating and welcoming and also gave us advice on traps to avoid and where to go. Great place to stay after climbing those Alfama staircases!

Just returned from a perfect 5 day stay at Romantic Alfama. Couldn't have asked for anything more. The property is ideally located to explore the city on foot or by public transport, and we would love to return at some point. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful, fun experience
This home is lovely, very clean and beautifully updated. The location of this old city gave us a genuine Lisbon neighborhood experience. No cars are able to get to the front of the house so you will need to be able to carry luggage down stairs and walk up and down stairs to get around the neighborhood. Overall we had a great time and the host was helpful to meet us at the home for check in. We had everything we needed for our stay.

Great location is the historic Alfama
Lovely apartment in the midst of the Alfama. If u arrive by car, best to park in the cruise ship parking (12 Euros pet day) and walk to the apartment. Beautiful windong cobblestone streets and charming location.

Don't let the compact size fool you, this apartment is comfortable with new kitchen, bath and very comfortable bedroom. Everything is close and you can walk everywhere. The area is steeped in history with staircases and narrow walkways to lead you to Fado orba sunset that is wonderful. Maria and her daughter are the greatest hosts.

Everything was perfect. Everything we needed was provided. This place is top quality. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We loved the neighborhood although there is a lot of stairs to climb everywhere. Bars restaurants and shops close by and easy access to transportation. We highly recommend this place

So wonderful I want to move in!
It was great to be so welcomed when I arrived. The owner and friend were there to be tour guides for all the apartment's and neighborhood's many facilities. The was a binder and tons of pamphlets to familiarize myself with all that Lisbon and surroundings had to offer. The apartment was even nicer than the photos suggest. Everything was spotless and without clutter. The kitchen was well supplied. Alfama was absolutely wonderful and my new neighbors were very welcoming. The location was was ideal, close to shops and restaurants. Fado was everywhere! If you want to experience old and new Lisbon, this is the place!

Alfama Altstadt, ein Traum, tolles Essen und eine wunderbare Umgebung zur Erkundung der bunten Vielfalt mit Tuk Tuk oder Tram 28 oder 12. beautiful flat
this flat was exactly what we needed. It was in a great location and the host was excellent. She answered our questions and even gave us suggestions on where to eat. The only gripe that we had was that in the listing it says that there is parking available but the parking is a nightly paid lot at the bottom of the hill. The lot wasn't outrageously priced however that would have been good to know prior to arrival.

Great location but tricky to access
We had great communication with Maria before and getting into Lisbon. The property is located in central Alfama area but only accessible by foot and thus our cab had to drop us off about 100-150m away and we needed to roll/lift/carry our luggage down a flight or two of stairs to get to the front door. The apartment was clean and well kept. The only barriers we had were the hot water tank is small so need to keep in mind to only take 1-2 showers consecutively or else the second person may run at risk to a colder shower. Also, we happen to blow a fuse when we tried to cook on the stove, boil water with the after boiler and tried having the washing machines going. Probably best to only boil water without having too many other things running as it takes a lot of amps. The washing machine was handy and the towel dryer rack helped us with drying out some clothes but it will take some time to dry them. The beds were comfortable and were able to accommodate my wife and I and both our kids (ages 9 and 11). The tv had a few English channels and wifi worked well. The apartment is walkable to many good attractions but due to its location in a historical part of town, taxis/Ubers can only get you to as close as a 2-3 minute walk from the door (when it rained, we had to hussle to the door). Taxi ride from airport to the apartment is about 20 euros and when we left, it took us about a 10-15 minute walk mostly downhill and down a few stairs (pulling our luggage) to the closest train station (Santa Apolonia).
