Ideal location near the districts of the historic center, on the hill of Santana. Very close to the historic districts (10 minutes on foot): Bairro Alto, Chiado, Graça, Rossio and Alfama. Soft decoration (renewed 2020) quiet street with little car traffic and very typical. Lots of typical and inexpensive restaurants in the neighborhood. Finer choice in nearby neighborhoods. Ideal for a relaxing and touristic holiday, ideal for a couple or a family of 4 people.

Loved our stay in Marisa’s apartment. Spent 2 weeks and were very comfortable. It had everything we needed to cook our meals and relax after a long day sightseeing. Yes it’s high up on a steep hill but we just used Uber to drive us up after a long day for 3€ it was no problem. There is a lovely lookout/garden just around the corner which is great and supermarkets close by for groceries. Marisa is lovely and lives close by if any issues. Great stay….thanks Marisa for sharing your lovely apartment. If we come back we’d stay again for sure.

Perfect Apartment - Well Situated
We stayed 6 nights at Marisa's perfect little Lisbon apartment. It is well-appointed with everything you need to get started on a restful Lisbon getaway. Kitchen is great, living area bright and the shower/bath is excellent. The apartment is located just above Rossio Square and within walking distance to some lovely restaurants and the entire downtown area. We felt comfortable and safe everywhere we went. Marisa was an excellent host, responsive and very helpful. Don't be daunted by the hills, they aren't so bad at all and they justify those extra calories! We revommend this spot highly.

Wonderful stay in Lisbon!
Marisa is a wonderful host, very responsive and friendly. The apartment is super clean and just the right size for the two of us. The location is great to access the city center and transportation hubs, though there are a fair amount of stairs.

Absolutely wonderful !!
My wife and I were very impressed with this apartment. Our host was very nice and helpful. The apartment was very spacious and had all the elements to make us feel at home. So much better than staying in a hotel. The location was perfect, walking distance to historic sights and restaurants. The Lavra funicular was very useful at the end of the day going back up the hill. Excellent value and would highly recommend this unit to anyone.

Comfortable/safe apartment in great location.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. This clean and comfortable apartment was situated in a convenient area. There were excellent restaurants and easy to explore all of Lisboa. Marisa was available and friendly. She helped us find a train station and communicated our check in and check out quickly and timely. We would recommend this spot for any couple. The washer was helpful and the internet was fast. Quiet street for sleeping as well. Thank you Marisa for making our first trip to Lisboa so special and fun. Bring good walking shoes.

Perfect location
My husband and I were in town for a conference. Most stayed in hotels near the arena. We chose this apartment and were so glad we did!! You cant get a better location!! On the street, there are spots to get drinks, food and anything you need. Next time we travel to Libson, we will def stay here again!

Our stay at Marisa's apartment in Baixa
We stayed at Marisa's apartment for a month. The apartment was exactly as the online listing described. Marisa met us the morning we arrived and showed us around and explained everything to us. The apartment is very clean and bright. The grocery store is nearby. There are lots of smaller shops to pick up items as well. There is a small butcher shop a few doors down and the meat there was very good. Lisbon has very steep streets. The apartment is up a steep street. We are in our 60's and had no trouble walking up but the funicular is also available and the walk from the funicular to the apartment is much easier. The apartment is in a great location - close to Rossio Square, the metro and the train station. We had no problems getting around Lisbon. Marisa is a wonderful host. She arranged weekly cleaning of the apartment and provided fresh bed linen and towels each week. We will stay in Marisa's apartment again if we return to Lisbon.

Lovely stay
Great apartment. Safe, comfy and well located. Good restaurants nearby. Lovely helpful host. Be aware the hill to the apartment from Rossio square is steep but not impossible. If you don't want to walk up the hill walk from Rossio square to the lavre funicular especially if you have a daily travel card.

Gracious Host, great location
We really enjoyed our stay in Lisbon at Marisa's apartment. A great location minutes walk from Rossio square. Marisa was very accomodating on our arrival and departure and the apartment had everything we needed for our weeks' stay. Restaurants and shops on the street were tasty and friendly.

It was a great property and a comfortable place stay, however, it looks a tad bit more worn in real life than it did in pictures. Excellent check in by property owner...and she left us fruit and a bottle of wine!

Great Location, nice place, very quiet
My adult daughter, niece, and I stayed 4 nights in Marisa's appartement. We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and very centrally located in historic Baxia district. The train station to Sintra is 8 walking minutes away, Metro and Russio 6 Minutes, Alfama 15 minute walk, and shops and little restaurants are right on our street, supermarket 8 walking minutes. Mattresses (bed and the pull out couch in the living room) are firm, but comfy for us, just keep that in mind if a soft bed is important to you. We loved the little details, for instance the welcome basket with fruit and a bottle of wine. We loved listening to the 4 Fada CDs on the CD player. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Marisa was very helpful and always answers our questions promptly. She even ordered a Taxi to the airport (ride was only 9€!). I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the apartment. It was clean and had everything we needed. The little grocery 100 feet down the street served coffee and freshly baked croissants. The narrow street boasted excellent restaurants of many cultures at far lower prices than the tourist areas. Yes, it's up a steep hill --this is Lisbon!-- but a historic funicular train takes you back up for a metro ticket, and after 8 p.m., Ubers come quickly and are inexpensive. It's right up the hill from Restaradores and Rossio metros. Everything about it was enjoyable.

We have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals over the years and this had to be one of the best we stayed at. Place was clean, bright, spacious and very comfortable. 4 minute walk to Rossi’s square or Martin Moniz square where you can catch rides to anywhere you want to go in or near Lisbon. Small grocery stores nearby we liked the one just up the street from us about 40 metres, the lady there was always friendly. Had a great meal at a very reasonable price just down the street at Verde Minho not much English spoken here so don5 come for stimulating conversation come for great food. Had croaker and cuttlefish, both were fantastic. It is a bit of an uphill walk from the squares at the end of a long day but we are in our 60’s and had no problems. Apartment was well stocked with all the things you expect and need for your stay.

Great house and location!
We initially rented this house for a week and then 2 and ended up staying longer. We’re a local family who needed a place to stay after our house flooded. William was fantastic to work with and helped us figure out our housing. The location was 10/10 for our family as it’s close to the kids school and close to Southpark (where are house is). It’s easy access to uptown and Matthews. If you need a place to stay or your family is visiting Charlotte I highly recommend this place. It’s an older home that has been very nicely updated. It is clean and inviting. It has a great kitchen that opens up to the living room which is nice for gathering. Cozy blankets in both the living room and the other TV room. Beds are comfortable and we had all of the towles and linens we could need. We also enjoyed the screened in porch and the backyard area. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Practice your climbing
The apartment is in a nice neighborhood high up the hill in Baixa. Short walk down the hill puts you right in the action. Mariss is a great host and very nice. Many restaurants in the area, great access to a main train station and trams, buses,shopping. Be sure you are in good shape to walk back up the hills. Overall I would definately stay here again.
