Amazing restaurant and the food was a very high standard,we had the 6 course taster menu, food was out of this world, paired expertly with different wines,we also stayed in the hotel at the bronze pig
A delightful property which was clean and well equipped. Our host was charming but was upset by your description on our confirmation which incorrectly stated there was no towels or laundry supplied. Perhaps you could look into this. Excellent restaurant serving top quality food. Good location right by the castle and a short walk to cathedral. Plenty of choice of eateries nearby.

Disappointed Pig
Room was designed to look pretty rather than practical
Light sensors on the see through bathroom door keep coming on at night and stayed on for 5 mins illuminating the whole room
Not sufficient space for toiletries in the bathroom , towel rail didn’t work so towels remained wet as no room service.
Wet noisy neighbours parting post 3am each night
A slightly unusual establishment with the rooms adjoining the restaurant/main building but this wasn't a problem. The hotel was within easy walking distance of all the main tourist stuff and had two carparks very close by. The bedroom was newly and tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. Normal tea and coffee facilities were provided. The bathroom was very luxurious with a bid shower enclosure and lots of hot water. The only problem with the bathroom was that the extractor fan wasn't man enough to cope with the steam. There was a low sash window that could be opened but only if exposing oneself to the houses opposite was the goal.
The breakfast was good and I had one of the best eggs benedict I've had for a long time.
As said, slightly quirky but I'd definitely stay there again.
When I booked, it stated that breakfast was included however it wasn't and I was given a small bottle of Prosecco instead.......!!!!!!!
I also had to leave my credit card details (for any accidents) despite the booking being paid in full, which I haven't done before. Are there new owners?
The room was very clean and freshly painted following COVID, however the milk cartons left in the room had an expiry date of 7 March 2020 (we stayed 1 August) and the hotel owner who does not reside on the premises was not entirely happy at having to come back with fresh long life milk and he blamed his cleaners rather than accepting responsibility for something he should have checked as we were apparently his first non-keyworker guests post-lockdown
We did not see him again after he brought the milk and we dropped keys through his letterbox the following day
We had been expecting (and paid for) breakfast but this was apparently not available and we got a refund from hotels.com after some disagreement with jim
Lastly he took a swipe of my credit card details and wrote down the security code even though we had paid 'in case we trashed the room'
We were in Room 1 at the front on a v hot night and it was a little bitnoisy with the window open. Again we could not ask for a fan as the owner was not on the premises
Overall not particularly impressed
Staff were brilliant throughout and the restaurant was faultless with fantastic food, however unfortunately there were cobwebs in the room upon our arrival (nothing that spoiled the stay, just attention to detail). Unfortunately however throughout the night my partner and I were both disturbed by doors banging loudly from outside the room. We're not sure whether this was from the staff office opposite our room or other guests however it did detract from the stay and affect sleep from 2300 - 0100. It's nothing that could have been changed or compensated for however would affect my choice of overnight stay in the future, however I would reattend the restaurant in a heartbeat.
The rooms have been furnished and decorated to a high standard.
You are warned that the property does not have free parking. There are several car parks nearby with acceptable overnight charges.
Very close to Steep Hill and many shops/cafes.
