When I first booked the room, I did so because of a previous stay that left me with a great impression. The bed was fantastic, and the staff and room service were top-notch. Unfortunately, this time around, my experience was extremely disappointing.
Upon arriving, I found that the bed was not as advertised. Instead of the king-size bed I had expected, the room (202) had a Murphy bed, which I would never have chosen. To make matters worse, the Murphy bed was damaged. When I pulled it down, I discovered that the brackets holding the mattress were bent, half-connected, and missing screws. It looked dangerous and was incredibly uncomfortable. As a result, my wife and I barely managed to get three hours of sleep.
I seriously considered leaving the hotel, but since the room was prepaid and non-refundable, we had no choice but to stay. Adding to our frustration, we had to call the front desk to figure out how to turn on the lights. No one had informed us that we needed to insert one of the key cards into a slot just inside the door to activate the power. Additionally, there was no information provided about the Wi-Fi, leaving us disconnected and further dissatisfied.
This stay was a stark contrast to my previous experience, and I am extremely disappointed with how it turned out. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves their service for future guests.
I will not be staying at this property in the future based on this poor experience.
