Sea Gypsy Oceanfront condo with pool, sauna, cable

This comfy, cozy studio condo is part of the Sea Gypsy and puts you steps away from the beach and your feet in the sand. It has a queen sized bed, plus an inflatable twin mattress. There is a full kitchen with coffee pot, stove top and microwave for all your cooking, a flat screen TV with DVD and cable for your entertainment, Wi-Fi for your lap top and an indoor heated pool and sauna for your enjoyment. There are sand toys for kids and adults, beach chairs, beach towels and a beach blanket.

It’s a great place to have a romantic get away or just relax and watch what's happening on the beach right outside your sliding glass doors. You’ll see beachcombers, people playing with their dogs, beautiful kites being flown on the beach and then the Kite-Surfers, who are actually surfing in the ocean with the power of the wind and a kite. To the south on the beach it takes you to the D River and to the north a wonderful jetty. So, check the low tide tables and don’t miss the starfish, sea anemone and urchins, barnacles and coral that are the wondrous sights while exploring the jetty. In the evenings. have a glass of wine and be prepared for the spectacular, miraculous sunsets.

We enjoyed having the opportunity to walk out our door and walk to the beach. It was a little noisy when people walk right past your sliding glass door talking and slapping their shoes to get sand off. It was a great little place otherwise.

I love Sea Gypsy and always have an amazing time there. However this stay we booked last minute reason9proce but got small room. stay for 3 only queen bed and so hard could not sleep. the weather was amazing had a nice tine if it werent for the hard bed and 3 on one bed not fun

Basic amenities. Other than not having an iron or ironing board there was nothing that we needed that wasn't provided. The sliding door and screen could use a little maintenance. otherwise the room is clean and comfortable. Our new favorite place in Lincoln City

People from other units walked the path directly in front of our sliding door to access steps to the beach. I could sit in a chair by our sliding door and literally touch them as they walked past. Fortunately everyone was friendly and the beach access and amazing views made up for the proximity to neighbors.

The room was not clean and it was obvious that it’s not kept clean. The top of the fridge is dirty, the wall by the dining table has stained food splashes. The wall behind the bed/nightstand is dirty. The whole place could use a deep cleaning. The “hot tub” is a section inside the 90 degree pool, which does NOT have jets. The pool is full of kids, so to use the “hot tub” would be nothing more than soaking in a warm bath, with a bunch of kids that are probably peeing in the pool. We were so disappointed, as we would not have rented this place if not for the advertised “hot tub”. We opted to pass on using the “hot tub”. We did love that the ocean was at our back door, and the view was amazing. The full kitchen is a great way to save money by not having to eat out.

Great Vacation
Enjoyed the VRBO location and set up. Watched the waves everyday and being right on the beach was a huge plus. The only thing and it's not a gripe, no closet space due to a storage cabinet in the closet. However still hung my clothes in the closet even though they were partially on the cabinet. Would I recommend this for 1-2 people absolutely.

My partner and I stayed at room 101 at the sea Gypsy hotel for 4 days in October. The room is nice and cozy having everything you need! The bed is a little hard but the pillows were comfy. The room does feel a little cramped due to all the chairs but other than that is was a nice and clean space! The only negative was that there was a build up of sand in some of the corners which isn’t a big deal is was clean other than that. The only other complaint was that there was only one extra towel for a 4 day stay. But it was a nice hotel, in an amazing location. Being on the first floor has it’s positives and negatives, we were able to walk out the back door and be right next to the ocean, but we were right under the stairs so we heard everyone going up and down the stairs and the door is right next to 102 and so then they closed their door it sounded like our door was opening/closing. The communication with the owner was good, they emailed me a few days before with directions and suggestions on where to eat. The email stated that we would use the lock box key to enter the apt then put them back because their would be a set of keys in the apt. There were no keys in the apt though. Again not a big deal so we just used the ones in the lock box. Over all I would stay here again!

We had a great stay! The room location was awesome and it was more spacious than expected. The only bummer was the cleaning gal rushed through the cleaning process. My parents were staying in the room next to us and check in was 4pm but she was there to clean at 4pm and they said she was on the phone talking and rushed through the cleaning and was out by 4:25pm. I’m assuming she was rushing because it was being cleaned after check in. She did not vacuum or sweep, there were still dirty towels in the bathroom, and hair still on the toilet. So I was a little skeptical about what was really cleaned/sanitized. The owner was really great and called me to thank me for letting her know. As she doesn’t live there she relies on renters to give feedback on this sort of thing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea Gypsy. We would recommend this condo. The town seemed to be run down quite a bit so many stores shut down. I guess things have not got much better sense Covid ☹️

Can't beat the location/price
The location is great, it's perfect for one or two people, I doubt there's really room to put a third person on the air mattress but maybe a kid? A lot of the extras that were mentioned to be there weren't, things like beach blanket, binoculars, to-go menus. They were extras so it's not a big deal that they weren't there, but after being told they were there I was a little disappointed they weren't. Oh and no shampoo/conditioner/soap so I had to go to the store right away. Basically for the price you can't beat it but just be aware the extras weren't there so not sure I'd count on it if you really wanted to use binoculars or something.

I liked the place and would definitely consider it for future trips, but I'm giving a full honest review, from the top; I think it's very smart how they ask you to put the key directly back into lock box and provide another key to use during the stay. I see other reviews complaining about wifi however I had zero issues with connection on my chromebook. The email I received a day or two before arrival listed a few provisions that weren't provided... Specifically I was looking forward to tea and there was none, I also did not see any binoculars or tide table and there was only one towel. Any of these things would have been "extra" and not expected, except that it was specifically communicated that they would be provided. I always bring a towel, and I was able to look up the tides online of course, I guess I was just found it a little disappointing to be specifically notified these things would be available when they could have said nothing and I wouldn't have had any reason to expect anything. That being said, the majority of what was listed was provided and I'm not complaining as this was a very lovely stay, literally steps away from the beach. I would expect this shot gets rather crowded and loud in the summer time, privacy was borderline an issue, but I think the edge of winter/spring was the perfect time to occupy this space. The bed was not comfortable. I'm not complaining, I've stayed at pricier places with uncomfortable beds, so I wasn't expecting it to be, but in case you're expecting this value to include a comfortable bed I just want to include that in my honest review. Photos were extremely accurate. Very cute, little, overall comfortable, ground level corner condo.
