'Octopus Prime': Beautiful Condo with Stunning Views, Pool, Full Kitchen!

Unit 228, which we call “Octopus Prime,” is a modern, remodeled condo at the south end of the Sea Gypsy that overlooks the famous D River and features an equally famous view of the Great Pacific.

Enjoy a spectacular, unobstructed view of the beach and the crashing waves of the ocean from a wall of windows in the living room. This unit has a king bed in the private master suite. There is also a cabinet bed in the living room that will accommodate an additional two guests.

The two full bathrooms are tastefully decorated and feature an abundance of generously sized bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Our full kitchen will satisfy all your cooking whims. It features full-sized appliances and cupboards full of pots, pans and utensils.

This condo has seen a lot of improvements over the past few years. The owners have installed new hardwoodlike floors, new carpet and repainted. 

Enjoy an indoor heated pool and sauna, as well as access to two outdoor gas grills.

Sea Gypsy Coastal Escape
I enjoyed my stay in your condo at Sea Gypsy. Checknin was a breeze, the condo was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, and over-all, had everytjing i needed during my stay. Can we talk about the view?! It was wonderful being right on the beach and hearing the Pacific Ocean Waves crashing into the sandy beach every night. Very peaceful! I highly recommend, and will definitely stay again next time I come to visit!

Lots of room to spread out. Great decor, well stocked kitchen. Wonderful large table for dining and puzzles. View of ocean and river is amazing. Bedroom is in back by parking lot so can be a little noisy in the morning with people starting vehicles and coming and going. Mattress is very firm, even with my own 4" memory foam topper so heads up, can make for sore body if you need a softer mattress. No streaming services as noted in description. Overall very nice rooms!

A relaxing ocean escape
It is exactly as you see in the pictures. The view out the window is beautiful. I sat in the big comfy chair and watched the ocean and sunset many times. Well stocked. I appreciated the heads up with it being and old building and the possibility of hearing neighbors. It turns out it didn't bother us at all. A wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna and the view was spectactular. 2 negatives: the property does NOT have a fireplace as stated online (confirmed before we left, but should remove that from the website, I feel) and the fan in the room (with the heat to circulate) was very noisy/rattles.

We wanted a quiet place to get away and came across this listing. It was everything they said it would be. The therapeutic sound of the ocean, beautiful sunsets and seals surfing in the waves were an added bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and the condo has comfortable furniture. Very cozy condo!
Condo was super cozy and accommodating to all our needs. We will definitely stay again! Only suggestion is, front large window did not have any window screens on either side - I would get that taken care of.

Summer 2022 "Oregon Getaway"
During the week of July 4th my wife and I had an exceptional stay at the Sea Gypsy. The unit was well cared for and check-in procedures could not have been easier. Of note, we had been notified of the HOA's intent to repave and restripe the parking lot during our stay, affecting parkng options, but the changing plans were well-communicated and we had no issues with parking whatsoever. Our Unit, "Octopus Prime", was on the 2nd floor of the condos, 2nd from the end, and as such we had a direct view out to the ocean from our second story window. I can't tell you how gorgeous the sunsets get from here...amazing! We did many beach walks, and the Sea Gypsy served as our home base as we ventured up and down the coastline. Location is wonderful, as it's very easy to work south to Newport, or north to Astoria from here. While there are many places to stay in Lincoln City, having a guaranteed sunset view with a glass of wine and your darlin' is an amazing perk! Everything about our stay was excellent, and either met or exceeded our expectiations, and I wouldn't hesitate to book another room here in years to come. Great ocean view! Walk to Kyllo's
The view was great and we liked the decor. We had an issue with the kitchen cabinet which we reported immediately and they took care of it while we were out shopping even though it was a Saturday. It was a good place for me and my two daughters! Stairs to unit were fine, but it would be good for all owners to pitch in and get a safer stair access to the beach.

We did not receive our code for check-in so met with girl at front desk who was very kind. Then found our room to be quite unclean. I took pictures of unclean chairs and crumbs on the floor. The microwave door was completely cracked and had grime in between glass. The floor in bathroom was not wiped. The main window to view the ocean from the 2nd floor was missing the latch/lock and neither window had screens. The manager Victoria was HORRIBLE to deal with and very rude on the phone. Best they could do was offer was a VERY low, less than 1/3 of our stay and we didn't stay past an hour. UGGGHHHH!!! I would NOT encourage you to rent from this host.

This is a great unit
