"Stayed in third floor tower panorama room and views were STUNNING"

"Cabbiavoli was the gathering place for our two week celebration with family and friends for my husband’s retirement. We were within an hour of every place we wanted to visit (Florence, Siena, Piza, Volterra) and even got to do the Cinque Terre hike, albeit a long day but so worth the two hour drive time! The train being so close made all excursions possible. Wineries are very close and within driving distance. Cabbiavoli itself is loaded with history and its grounds and views are breathtaking....

"Beautiful place to visit. We knew it was a bit far from town so we were disappointed that the restaurant had such limited hours, only 3 hours in the evening and no place to get coffee in the morning. Also did have a temporary issue with the water pressure in one bathroom."

The water pressure is very poor and we had an box elder infestation, we actually left a day early without a refund. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The laundry facility is basic with one machine and one setting, and you have to schedule use."

"Surrounding is nice but coming to the apartment - disappointment. Spacious place but poorly maintained, grounds as well as bathrooms were not clean. Plenty of dead moskitos covered the walls additionally. Mold in the bathrooms and strange stains. There were doors instead of windows and no fly screens at all. So we could not leave anything open as there were thousands of Moskitos. Choice between sleeping in more than 30 degrees or open doors with countless bites and anything else in the...

"We stayed one week in one of the appartments outside of the castle. We had the big one (No. 1.B) with 4 bedrooms. So a lot of space for 4 people like us, it might be a bit more cosy with the supposed 8 people max. capacity. The environment around the castle is great, pure Tuscan, great views of the countryside and most of the Tuscan attractions are close by to be reached within a daytrip. Rooms were clean and in reasonable shape. The fridge was big enough and had a huge freezer compartment....

"We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. There were things that could have been improved on… For example, there was nowhere to get breakfast or lunch. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient.
