"The hotel is acceptable, but the location on the booking site is WRONG. The hotel is much further from the city center than shown. This is not the first time I have encountered this deceptive practice. When I do, no one will take responsibility -- just finger pointing, then everyone shrugs as if to say "It's the customer's fault. The shouldn't have trusted us." Guess what, you're right. Why am I trusting a booking site that lies to me? "

"Overall, this was good. But some comments: Advertised as Adults only. It wasn’t. That does not mean the children who were around were a problem - they were not. We suspect the hotel has been modernised. And reasonably well too. But nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels, no fridge, no tea/coffee facilities. But the staff were also very helpful (even though very little English was actually spoken despite being advertised). But we got through with their helpfulness. "

"Pues la habitación muy bien y el desayuno increíble de variado y bueno... Por ese precio!! Impresionante. Pero lo que más me da gustado es el sistema de trabajar. Llegas, la puerta de entrada está siempre abierta, subes a la primera planta y en la mesa están las llaves con tu nombre, la coges y te vas a la habitación. "The hotel facilities seem quite nice, just lack of service staff. However the room we were assigned on the 1st floor does not have Wifi. The young fellow was kind enough to change us to a room on the 3rd floor, which was ok for us although it lacks certain amenities. The worst thing happened was upon the check out. We made the reservation on Orbitz and prepaid the total amount on June 9th (~a month prior). When we check out, the reception lady asks us to pay again. We showed her Orbitz...

"This is a wonderful location for a peaceful stay, but also a great place to visit Porto or the Douro Valley wineries. Vitor was a great communicator and made sure we had a wonderful stay."

"We booked a room with 1 double bed and one single or twin bed in the same room, the hotel on the other hand seemed not to be aware of that and after being sent in a room with only one double bed we needed to change rooms, the advertised pool is empty, the breakfast is good, overpriced for what you get."

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this location. Originally we were only going to stay one night but then ended up staying an additional two nights. The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. She’s the reason that we had no hesitation booking additional nights"

"This property is a very clean, functional, well-kept property that does not pretend to be anything beyond a clean place to get a good night's sleep. Nobody answered the locked door when we arrived (6pm) so we rang and rang the bell. We finally went around to the side and found an open door. We went in and found the reception desk and were joined a few minutes later by the owner ... who had just stepped out for a moment I guess. He didnt speak english so we settled on French and got the paper work done. The room was clean and had everything we needed but the decor was old fashioned. The fridge didn't work but the room was comfortable and the bathroom was new. The breakfast was the best part of the stay as we had fresh bread still warm from the oven and pumpkin jam that was fabulous ... along with lots of other goodies. The morning person was very friendly and accommodating. This is a good 2 star hotel and we would stay here again."

"This place is great. Right in the center of the town, close to stores, the market, garden, swimming pool, dinning options. The place is spacious with lots of natural light. Very comfortable bed and couch. The kitchen is well equiped. It's quiet despite being downtown. The TV wasnt quite working but it was alright, i didn't need it. There is wifi. "
