The hotel is in a great location - close to everything in Miraflores but quiet and very safe. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved our balcony and the special touches like tea brought to our room just because. Breakfasts are delicious. Would highly recommend this Inn!

Just as it is pictured. Quirky, unique, very clean and lovely. The only downside was there was no heat element in the room, only A/C. So they had to give us a space heater, which worked fine. It was a little damp, but that's to be expected in Lima in the winter.

Charming cozy little place
Charming, cute, and cozy little hotel with only three units. The property is a bit old so it has creaky wooden floors but it wasn’t anything serious. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. My wife and I both loved it and would recommend with two thumbs up.

This is the most beautiful and unique property that I have ever stayed at. They had the most helpful staff who provided excellent maps and recommendations. Excellent breakfast and they even brought it up to us to have on the roof deck. Highly recommend!

Great location and incredible staff!!! We had a 3am flight on our way out of Lima and they were incredibly accommodating and held our bags after we checked out. I can’t say enough about the staff here. Very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and had many recommendations for us.

Charming building, convenient location, and wonderful staff. The rooftop was a nice surprise and the daily breakfast was a great way to start our day. The only drawback was the plumbing (expected for the area) and the construction on both sides of the hotel.

The hire tricked me to change my dates to another date within the same week. When I arrived the hotel was under full construction and the staff did not provide any excuse or explanation. I had to leave to another hotel and kiss half of the day in Lima. The staff ran my credit card without my consent even though they had a huge construction going on.

This place was a great find. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, great decor and overall charm. The only bummer was that we had just one night here and they happened to be doing some kind of noisy work. Although they did tell us upon arrival, we were a bit frustrated listening to drilling until 10pm when we had a very early flight the next morning. Otherwise, we thought this was a nice option (felt like something in between a standard B&B and an AirBnB) and would’ve liked to stay for another night if our plans had allowed.

Excellent stay at the Autor. Location is great - a short walk to the boardwalk, which is nice any time of the day, and close to a bunch of restaurants. Our room was quite large, and well furnished. Decor throughout the hotel is very interesting, and there are a lot of books on Peru all around! Breakfast was really nice, with everything brought to the table, rather than buffet style. Given this is a small hotel (4 rooms) there is lots of individual attention given. We were able to check put late as our flight was only in the evening. Miguel and team are doing a fantastic job. The only negative was that there was no view from the hotel room (to be expected when the hotel is in the city), and there was some street noise when the windows were left open.

This is a PERFECT hotel in every way! We booked one night in a balcony room for our final night in Peru, but decided at the last minute that we wanted to arrive in Lima one day earlier than originally planned, so we needed to add another night to our stay. The room we booked wasn't available, but we were able to get a different room, which was equally amazing. The next day, after a HUGE & DELICIOUS breakfast, we ventured out into Lima. When we returned, our luggage had been moved to our new room. The day we checked out, our flight wasn't until 1am. They kept our bags safe for us until 9pm when we caught a taxi to the airport so we could explore Lima for the day. Location = Perfect & secure. A gate at the front of the cluster of buildings in this cul-de-sac is monitored by a guard or locked. You can walk around Miraflores very easily for access to restaurants and shopping. There is a convenience store on the next block. The hotel/rooms = Tastefully decorated, very clean. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and there is HOT water, which was appreciated after many cold showers over our 2 week stay in Peru. Staff = Incredibly professional, friendly, and attentive. Breakfast = The best we had in Peru. Value = Great. After budget traveling for most of our trip, we wanted to splurge for our last 2 nights in Peru and we are so happy we did. Thank you, Hotel de Autor!
