"My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Daniel and Sam were incredibly friendly and hospitable and made our time in Stykkishólmur memorable. They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and meeting them was the highlight of our trip. As an LGBTQ couple we felt very welcome and safe. Our room had an amazing view and was very clean and comfortable (the pillows were amazing!). Breakfast each morning had rotating options and plenty to choose from, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks again Daniel and Sam, we will absolutely be back next time!"

"We stayed for about a week over New Year's Eve and this was a great place! I would definitely stay here again and I would suggest this home to anyone. Very clean. Very cosy and warm. Nice showers. Four good sized bedrooms. Board games. The house just has a friendly vibe to it. It made me smile when we walked inside.The hot tub is delightful in the winter (but the snow is really cold on your feet when you get out! Bring flip flops.). The kitchen is well stocked and even had a few spices and cooking oil. We didn't eat at any restaurants.The location is great! It is within walking distance of both the harbor and the Bonus Grocery Store. The town was cloudy every night, so we drove about 30 minutes out of town into clear skies to see the northern lights. The Northern Lights were all around us in 360 degrees and shimmered in green and pink/red fingers of light.The road to the town was pretty well passable and the location was reasonable for winter. I don't recommend driving from Reykjavik at 11-1am in blowing snow, but we did it! The studded snow tires and the reflectors along the road made it possible. The fireworks on New Year's Eve were unbelievable. I've never seen a display like that in my life. It seemed like the entire block was setting off the best display I could imagine and it lasted for 45 minutes.The host is really quick about answering questions through this app. He was very helpful and friendly.Five stars! Excellent place! "

"Out of 12 days in Iceland, this was the best stay experience we had. Artur and Konstantin were so nice and helpful, even for just two guests. They bent over backwards for us, had great recommendations, the best food we’ve had, and made us feel so at home. This place is a hidden gem and I hope many, many more people go and see them! "

"I like all the antique setting. It made me feel back to grandma's house. It made me feel home. We have difficulty to turn on stove and the manager showed up quickly to show us about the stove. There are washroom on every floor and several showers in the basement. "
