A slice of heaven!
Where to start…. Jackie and Alan are a wonderful couple who made us feel welcome the moment we entered the property. They gave us a whistle stop tour and recommendations for the area, including places to eat, wildlife viewing and beautiful walks. The shepherds hut is simply stunning with views over the surrounding countryside, and its location is perfect for exploring the Dales. The hut is beautifully decorated with everything you need, including hot showers. The bed was extremely comfortable and we fell asleep to the calls of the owls and woke with the songs of the morning birds. The outside area has a beautiful wildlife garden that is frequented by a variety of wildlife including; birds, hedgehogs and squirrels. We ate dinner alfresco cooked on the BBQ, whilst the neighbouring hens went about there business. We sat around the log burner in the evenings, taking in the tranquil surroundings. I must also mention Alice, the beautiful, sweet natured dog who will offer cuddles and play if her service is required. We will be returning, but next time we are staying for longer than just a weekend!

Our first getaway
We were made very welcome and everything we needed was included in this new shepherd's hut in East Witton. We made use of the BBQ provided and enjoyed relaxing on the decking between our excursions out, from first thing in the morning until the owls started hooting at night.
