Cosy cottage

Holly Cottage was the perfect size for a couple and a dog. All facilities are catered for and the cottage was spotless. The pub in Bellerby had closed the week before our visit, there is a cafe on the outskirts of the village and some lovely walks in the area but you will need to travel to reach shops and pubs. We enjoyed our week in Yorkshire and would stay here again if we were looking at this area.

Great Stone built cottage.

Great Stone built cottage. Great open grate fire, very cosy. Dog friendly back garden with lawn & front with lawn but not enclosed. Bathroom is small, compact & bijou with shower, not for anyone over size 12. Local pub 50yrds away, but lockdown so couldn't try it. No shops in Bellerby. But some lovely local walks. We enjoyed our stay at Holly Cottage.

We enjoyed our stay at Holly Cottage. It is about a mile away from amenities, but served as a good base for exploring. The cottage had everything we needed and was warm and cosy. The Yorkshire Tea on arrival was a lovely gesture. Thank you. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Nice compact cottage in good location

Cottage was perfect for the 3 of us. It had everything we needed and was in a good location for trips into Swaledale and Wensleydale. My only issue was the price increased significantly after I had paid what I thought was the full price. I could not get through to the owner (agent) to discuss this so had to pay it. Will not be booking any property through them again.

Had a great time at this lovely cottage.

Had a great time at this lovely cottage. Very warm and cosy and so very well equipped. It was a shame that the local pub wasn't selling food right now though, due to flooding but we managed ok. Thankyou for a lovely week!

A beautifully kept holiday cottage with fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine in Be

A beautifully kept holiday cottage with fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine in Bellerby north of Leyburn on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Olde worlde with fireplace and beams and uneven floors, but fully modernised inside and roses and clematis creeping over the door. Good shops in Leyburn, but the Cross Keys pub opposite is not serving food at present because the kitchen is being redone. Easy access to Wensleydale and Swaledale, and we ranged as far as Kirkby Stephen, Weardale, Whitby, Ripon and Settle. Lots of broken abbeys. Bolton Castle was good. The cheese factory in Hawes was worth a visit.

Lovely cottage, offering a proper cosy, homely feel.

Lovely cottage, offering a proper cosy, homely feel. Ideally located for access to the Dales and local attractions. The owner clearly has a genuine interest in his guests and is keen/happy to help when/where he can. We would certainly recommend a stay at Holly Cottage and would stay again ourselves.

Very clean and comfortable cottage.

Very clean and comfortable cottage. Just over a mile to Leyburn where there are shops and places to eat. Great location to go an visit place. Pub very short distance, such a shame that due a refurbishment they didn't have food available. Great cafe in the village to and is great for a great fry up.

Lovely cottage in a very well kept village.

Lovely cottage in a very well kept village. Really cosy with a great stone fireplace, brilliant for a winter break (our holiday was in February) Comfortable, attractive decor, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Set well back from the road with good size front and back gardens and parking space. The owner was there to greet us on arrival and show us around the property and had lit a roaring log fire which was very much appreciated. Bellerby is less than two miles from Leyburn with all its shops, weekly market, pubs and cafes many of which are dog friendly. All in all the perfect cottage in a very good location.

We had a wonderful weekend in this cosy, homely, fully equipped and extremely clean cottage.

We had a wonderful weekend in this cosy, homely, fully equipped and extremely clean cottage. We were a party of 4 adults and a Labrador and we had plenty of room plus the benefit of a downstairs loo in addition to shower room and toilet upstairs. The shower was excellent with lots of hot water. The enclosed rear garden and off road parking at the front of the cottage was also appreciated. The weather was very cold and a little snowy so it was perfect to have a roaring log fire. Holly Cottage is certainly one of the best in which we have ever stayed. We hope to return in the future!
