"A little gem near Auxerre. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the shower provided plenty of hot water. Gerome made us feel like house guests. We had the use of the kitchen to make drinks etc. Gerome cooked for us a meal on both nights with accompanying wines. Excellent."

"The whole property is so peaceful and clearly a labour of love - our room (Granit) was huge and beautifully decorated. The pool is large and the views are amazing. Madeleine was very helpful at check in but we had our privacy the rest of the time. We highly recommend a stay here."

"This is an (expensive) B&B NOT a hotel. no food and a car is necessary to the nearest restaurant. No air conditioning. And a wholly inadequate bathroom. And to get in you need to get them to open the gates (best to arrive in daylight). Having lugged my suitcase up the stairs, i lugged it down again and went in search of somewhere cooler that served food. "

"We had a great time in a little rustic village. Its a b&b. Your hostess will leave to your own devices during your stay but will have breakfast ready for you every morning at your specified time and will stay to chat with you during it. Rooms are cleaned everyday when you're out. The building that you're staying in is at least 300 years old I reckon"

It's such an old building, full of history and not spoiled in its renovation, it was still so characterful. "The perfect getaway — lovely cosy evenings by the fire, and days spent in this heavenly French chateau and its grounds. Lots of tennis played on the clay court (sadly too chilly to use the pool) but excursions to beautiful Chablis, Auxerre and the abbey at Pontigny were particular highlights. Can’t recommend enough!"
