Wonderful Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mary Naoise’s cottage. It was clean, comfortable and an ideal base for exploring Donegal. When we arrived we were greeted with home baked goods which was greatly appreciated after our journey. We would have no hesitation returning. Thank you for our lovely stay

A perfect stay
We had a wonderful time at Mary Naoise Holiday Home. We were a group of cousins who came from near and far for a family reunion week. The house is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Great shower and plenty of nice towels. Easy access to everything in the most picturesque setting. We all hope to return in the future!!

What an absolute gem!
The best welcome we have ever experienced from a holiday cottage - roaring fire and table set for afternoon tea, with so many delicious goodies (thank you!).The cottage was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and very well equipped. Nothing had been overlooked, even for a day at the beach. ( I could have left the 3 picnic chairs I brought with me at home.) The cottage is really well situated for exploring the wonderful county of Donegal. If I lived in Ireland, I’d have already rebooked it. I hope we get to come back one day. Nothing!

Mary Naoise was a wonderful base to explore Donegal. We were very well taken care of with a wonderful fire and treats to enjoy on our arrival. The accomodation was very confortable. The kitchen cupboards were stocked with staples and the cupboards had all you needed to spend time confortably at the beach. Thank you very much Marian We were perfectly happy : full marks !

A charming and cosy house
Our host made us feel very welcome (homemade pie, scones, jam ...) and we found everything we expected in this cozy house. We were in a relationship of trust. We wholeheartedly recommend this house. The explanations to find the place were not so clear. Maybe more equipment for cooking (pressure cooker, colander ...) We're French !

Lovely House and Area
We spent a week in Mary Naoise Holiday Home with our 4 young children. The house was immaculate on arrival and while we unfortunately didn’t get to meet Marion as we had run late on our journey she had left an amazing welcome of fresh scones, rubarb tart, jam and cream. Nice touch. The garden was great for the kids and we got to see cows daily (great excitement for city kids) and even got a go on a tractor! The location, whilst down a narrow road, is just a short journey from the N56 which can be used to easily access Dungloe, Glenties and Ardara, aswell as Portnoo harbour and Naran beach. In addition just a short drive up the road is the amazing Dooey beach. The house itself was perfect and had everything we needed, including a toy kitchen that my children got endless enjoyment out of, a smart TV, WFI, nice comfortable chairs and once again everything was very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend a stay in this house, and the area, again.

Very enjoyable stay
It was very well equipped. The host generously lit the fire so it was cosy for us when we arrived. They also left an apple pie fresh cream, scones and muffins for us. A really lovely treat. The beds need new mattress as they are a bit old and flat

Unbelievable holiday, fantastic host
A week in Donegal in February 2022? Well we had two storms back to back, Dudley and Eunice and had rain daily, which knew to stop as soon as we got to the beach, and even the snow or the storms didn’t stop us. This will go down as one of the most enjoyable holidays ever. The directions from our host, Marian, took us right to the door. Marian was there to greet us with her lovely Scottish accent and a warm and pleasant manner. The house was simply amazing and had everything we could need, even toys for our youngest. We all felt immediately at home from home. Marian is the single most generous host I’d ever come across. She had a warm house with a lovely fire going, a delicious kind sized apple tart and a massive bowl of cream that lasted us three days, bottles of red and wine and a tin of fresh baked scones, milk and butter for us. Who does that? The house was 2.5 miles from an amazing expansive beach of golden sands, and we went there every day for walks and running on the beach. We hit Elliott’s bar and Packie’s bar, both worth a visit with friendly hosts. The house is a mile off the main road up a scenic drive of lakes and snow capped vistas. We were equi-distant and only 15 minutes drive from Glenties and Dungloe with plenty of food shopping and good places to dine out. I recommend McCafferty bar and restaurant in Dungloe and Highlands Hotel in Glenties but would add that we mostly cooked at home in Mary Naoise. Thanks so much to Marian.

Fabulous family holiday
The house was spotless and ideal for our family of five. Marion and her family gave us a lovely welcome and had thought of everything to make our stay perfect - beautifully decorated rooms, plenty of kitchen ware, lots of toys and games for our young family, a specially prepared room for our little girl, treats for the kids and fresh home baking to name a few. I would definitely recommend Mary Naoise Holiday Home.

Fab house and host
Wow what can l say unbelievable house and host. This house is so modern, clean and beautifully presented with all the necessities one needs when away from home. When we arrived the host had freshly baked scones and an apple pie with treats for the kids plus two bottles of wine waiting for us. The whole experience from start to finish was fantastic. The house was so comfortable with lots of space for everyone to chill out in peace. The kitchen so modern and trendy and the living room so relaxing looking out onto the beautiful hills in front of the house. All the bedrooms were beautifully presented too and l loved the bathroom with its magnifying mirror. We ate outside for most of our meals as the sun was shining and the scenery just stunning. The outside furniture was comfortable too and we all had fun eating together breathing in the Donegal air. In the morning we travelled to the beach which was 5 minutes away by car and walked along the shore line. What a beautiful beach so quiet, a hidden gem. Overall we would highly recommend this house and location to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in Donegal. There are so many other near by beaches to explore and towns to visit. I will definitely be going back to Mary Naoise's house again with my family. Thanks Sinead nothing
