"Shane the owner was a super nice guy. I went during a really slow time but as an owner operator you can see his pride show through everything he tries to help you with. My room was a lot bigger then I expected and only has a fridge and micro but Shane said he has kitchenettes but could easily add some amenities to help with workers staying for a couple weeks on end. "Not too much to choose from in the small town of Fort MacLeod. Red Coat Inn certainly seemed the better of choices. A bit dated and a tad rundown it was clean and convenient. Office were helpful and on-site parking was free. The Fort is well worth a visit."

"The service was not what I have experienced in earlier stays. They, somehow, had no knowledge of my Expedia booking for the two rooms but were able to accommodate me. When I went to check out at 8 am I was told that they normally don't open the office till 8:30. While the staff person did accommodate me, it seemed to be an unusual statement for the hotel. The antique decor from previous ownership is still in place, which I appreciated."
