"This is a great house to base yourself and to explore the local area. It has everything you need. And ideally you can park your car inside the gates for safety, I found this very important as I was travelling by car from Ireland and I wanted the car safe. "This was our second year at this property, absolutely perfect, beautiful property, fantastic location, 15 minutes walk into the town of Angles, where we had some amazing meals and lovely local bar, 10 minutes drive to the beach, 30 minutes drive to Luçon where we got the train to La Rochelle, there is a super market 5 minutes walk from the property with a petrol station. "We had a very relaxing stay at Bretignolles. We loved the property, it was clean and comfortable. The garden was a perfect spot for soaking up the sun. Being able to walk to the beach was a real bonus. Our hosts were very welcoming and we managed to communicate despite our language differences. We would highly recommend this property. Perhaps clearer instructions as to the position as we did have some difficulty finding it, but this was a minor issue."

"Great location, very quiet and so well equipped. Everything you need, apart from a washing machine. Beds were comfortable and we had no issue. Easy to get to. I was surprised there was no communication as to what to do with the keys on check out day despite sending a text to the owner. "This is NOT a hotel! The front desk explained that it is a condo rental. That means you do not get any cleaning, even with a8 night stay. And you get 1 bath towel, nothing else. No replacement towels, and no hand towel or washcloths. And you get 1 roll of toilet paper, then you have to buy it yourself. Having said that, the front desk staff was very helpful, when they were present. And it is only 1 block to the beach. If you have a larger rental car, beware of the enclosed parking spaces...
