The Grand River House is a charming , recently remodeled 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in the heart of Leland. Guests can walk to all the restaurants, shops, and historic Fishtown as well as to several Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau beaches. You can enjoy searching Lake Michigan beaches for Petoskey stones or the newly popular Leland Blue stones, swim, have picnics and enjoy the outdoors..

This home has hardwood floors in every room with area rubs making all rooms more cozy in all seasons. The living room is centered around a one switch gas fireplace surrounded by a new fieldstone chimney. It is furnished with comfortable leather couch and great chairs. On the lower level is a newly constructed gathering space.Theses rooms are great spaces in which to enjoy reading a book or sipping a glass of wine. . The first floor bath room has a unique claw foot soaking tub. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pan, silverware, dishware and glasses. Cook outside on the grill. Enjoy fresh, in season food available at "The Merc", found at the local Farm Market or purchased from the stands of local farmers around the county available in spring summer and fall. The two bedrooms upstairs have dormers for a lovely view of the mature trees in the yard. One of the bedroom's dormer is outfitted with a comfortable cushion where one can take a nap or curl up with a book. The bedroom has plenty of room for children to spread out sleeping bags on the flooenjoy to watch a movie or to play. The brand new wrap- around porch provides lots of room for visiting and relaxing. Follow the walkway from porch steps to the backyard where you will find a built in firepit and a rock-couch. Enjoy living in a small Michigan village that sits between two lakes and provides entertainment for all ages!

We had a nice stay at this home in Leland. It was a great alternative to the area hotels. Great access to town, beaches and M-22 attractions.

We stayed here for our girls weekend! Great location, very clean and cutely decorated. Only comment would be there was no coffee, so be sure to bring your own. Highly recommend staying here! Wonderful place!

Wonderful House in Leland
This property was lovely for a quick getaway with the wife and baby. The proximity just steps away from shops and dining in Leland in unbeatable. Although we only used 2 of the bedrooms, there is plenty of space for an entire family. We enjoyed evenings and morning coffee on the covered front porch. Will definitely stay here again for future visits to the area.

Came into town to celebrate a nearby wedding. This was in a great location. On our off time we were able to walk to town and explore Leland and Fishtown. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

This spot was perfect for 8 friends in town for a wedding at the Old Art Building. The house had a good mix of queen and twin beds to accommodate single and partnered people. Easy walk to town, clean accommodations, and a great fire pit out back.

A wonderful location for a family vacation! We spent 3 nights here and were bouncing around the Leelanau Peninsula all weekend wine tasting and exploring. Being such a close walk to town was great for our group! The house was clean and as described in the listing! Fit our group perfectly!

Great family friendly house, easy walk to Fishtown
The house was perfect for our family trip with seven people. It has a great wrap around porch and fire-pit for hanging out in the evening. Walking to downtown Leland is only five minutes.

The property was very nice. Good location and well equipped. The claw foot tub is very charming but a bit challenging for older people. The upstairs shower was perfect.

Just an awesome little renovated house. Perfect location. Three minute walk to Fishtown, nice wrap around porch and firepit to sit at. Some rainy day activities for kids to do. Everything worked great and was very clean.

The property was perfect for us. We are a group of 6 adults, all over 70, who bicycle regularly in North Michigan. This was a great location in an enjoyable community. Would be even more enjoyable once the pandemic is past. And we hope to do so again

Great location and cute house!
A group of 6 girls stayed here for a bachelorette party. We spent every morning and evening on the porch relaxing, and had quick access to just about everything. Also the style of the house was just cozy and cute! I would recommend always checking when places/restaurants close nearby, because a lot of places close early!

Location! Location! Location!
The location of the River Grand House is wonderful! It is walking distance to everything! We were able to walk to our daughters rehearsal dinner at the Riverside Inn and then walk over to the Lodge for after dinner drinks. It is roomy and well appointed. Also, we were very appreciative to have a high chair for our baby grandson. Overall very pleased! Thank you Mary Lou!

Wedding Celebration
We loved our stay at Leland. It was the perfect location to walk to the downtown area and Lake Michigan. It was close enough to Northport for our daughter's wedding. We loved walking around the neighborhoods. It was absolutely perfect for a family brunch after the wedding. The wrap around porch was the perfect gathering place when it rained and during the sunny days. Our little granddaughter loved pushing her toy around the porch and even took her first steps in the beautiful kitchen. We can't wait to come back again!

Great property with one significant issue
Great house in a fantastic location. However, one significant problem that is easy to fix and will hopefully be done by the owners. The house has no air conditioning which is not normally an issue in northern Michigan since the nights get cool. However, most of the windows in this house have no screens and of the windows that have screens - most are damaged. When we checked into the house, the interior temp was 79 degrees and it never got much cooler than that (because we couldn't open most windows without letting the bugs in). This made it very difficult to sleep. With this one easy fix, we would stay there again. Without it, I would find another place to rent.

Grand River House Leland
The home is updated and in a great location. TV room in basement is brand new. Great place for kids to hang out. Landscape is updated but grass still needs work. Linens and towels were nice. Some board games were there. Grill appears new and was easy to use. An added plus was the Culligan water cooler. We used it all the time as the tap water was not the best tasting. It does not have air conditioning but many fans. Luckily, we had cool evenings. My biggest complaint would be lack of screens on all the windows since there is no AC. The property managers are easy to work with and addressed any concerns promptly. Recommend the property and hope to stay again

This Home + Family Wedding = Perfect Weekend in Leland, MI
My family and I stayed at this incredible home for my niece’s wedding weekend! It is not easy finding accommodations that fit our large family of seven, but this home was perfect with giving us all the privacy we needed as well as having cozy living spaces inside and outside (the porch is amazing!) to allow us all to hang out together. In addition to having ample space for us, the house was decorated in the most adorable way and even inspired some new home projects back at our home in Livonia, MI. To make this stay even better, the location couldn’t have been more perfect. We were able to walk to everything we needed including the fishtown area, the wedding venue, the grocery store, and to all the shops and restaurants (highly recommend checking out The Cove). I can’t finish the review without giving a shout-out to the home owner, Mary Lou. She provided us with incredible hospitality and was just a phone call away when we needed her assistance. This home is the perfect place to stay for your weekend in Leland, MI!
