Under Rachael’s Wing

This is a great getaway house just 1 mile from the river! Perfect place to go canoeing or trout fishing. Located only minutes from the trout hatchery and the famous Bennett Springs. The house has 2 queen size beds, 1 full size bed and a set of twin size bunk beds. We also have a roll away bed and a queen size air mattress available for use. The living room features a gas fireplace for a cozy romantic setting, WiFi with satellite and smart TVs. If you would rather relax outside, the hot tub located on the back patio is the perfect place to do so after a long day canoeing, fishing, or exploring. We also have a fire pit if you want to make some s'mores or just hang out and relax. The food plot located behind the house gives visitors the perfect opportunity to spot some deer or turkey. It may not be as fancy as some of the other rentals in the area, but it's our home away from home for our large family and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
There is also a camper plug available on site for more guests or for your own camper/rv.
Majestic Views Floats of Missouri has been great to work with us if you're looking to float the river! If you give them a call they will usually send a van to the house to pick you up and then drop you off when you're done!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Under Rachel’s Wing. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed the outdoor space also. The host was easy to work with and got back to us quickly when the area had a power outage. We look forward to staying there again.

Bennet Springs Retreat
Close to Bennett Springs got trout fishing. Great place to stay with the family. We enjoyed our stay and will be back in summer for a float trip.

This was a great house close to Bennett springs for my family and friends to stay! Plenty of rooms for everyone and a large family room/dining room to fit all 9 of us together. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again.

It was close to our floating location, check in was easy and the home was clean, well-stocked and comfortable for everyone in my party. The only recommendation I would make would be new mattresses in the guest rooms. They were extremely hard and we are not as young as we used to be, lol.

We had a great time. We were close to Bennett Springs and when done fishing came home to a hot tub. The place had everything. Only thing we couldnt find a hot pad to take things out of the oven.

Awesome location near Bennett Springs and the Niangua
Perfect location to fish Bennett Springs or raft the Niangua. Legitimate 4 bedrooms--hosted our group of 7 without difficulty. It is easily the largest short-term rental close to the park. The host responds immediately to messages or texts. Full disclosure--the property needs some TLC. We stayed in 2022 and 2023, and several maintenance issues we reported in 2022 are still unresolved. In order for a family to really love it, the shag carpet really needs to go. For 7 guys going fishing, it's an absolute gem.

Stayed in many VRBO properties and this was disappointing. Not a property that represents VRBO in a positive light. Hot tub not clean or hot. Wasn’t safe to use in our opinion. Dirty, rundown, junk for beds, trash in yard and needed mowing. Four junk grills sitting around the patio. Killed a roach and cricket inside. Location was great was about all it had going for it.

We were dissapointed with home.
We had no hot water even after klicking on hot water heater. Had to boil water to clean up. Pans handles were falling off. Couldn't use any outdoor amenities. Hot tub, dirty.would not run. Grills disgusting. No gas or charcoal. Couch very hard for older guests to get up from. Sidewalk to front door is uneven and dangerous walking for some guests. Host dud call with info and was very polite but we will cancel our reservations for August because tjis is the worst VRBO i have ever encountered. The beds need to be replaced in the three adult rooms. And water pressure is poor. It would also have been nice to have enough towels for the weekend.

A short drive to Bennett Spring
We have been coming to, and staying in, Bennett Spring State Park for a number of years and quite frankly the accommodations haven’t been as great as they used to be. So this year we thought we’d check outside the park and found Under Rachael’s Wing. We had lots of room to spread out—nice dining room, a great outdoor patio, two bathrooms. But if you like to have a group working in the kitchen together this kitchen is not for you. It’s a galley kitchen open to the living and dining rooms for easy conversation, but too tight for a group in the actual kitchen. In spite of that we would definitely come again!
