Welcome to Edgewater Lodge. This riverside beauty offers panoramic views of the Wenatchee River and the surrounding Cascade Mountain Range. Envision yourself enjoying your morning coffee on the wrap-around deck, which offers ample space to relax while enjoying the gorgeous scenery that encompasses Leavenworth.
While the exterior of the home is a treat in and of itself, the interior provides just as much of a ‘wow’ factor. This unique space is separated into three sections; a bunkhouse, a guest house, and the main portion of the home. Each space is connected by a breezeway, and despite the separation of these dwellings, everyone in your group will fall asleep under the same roof. This clever floor plan was designed with entertaining in mind but thoughtfully respects your privacy as well.
Let’s start our tour off with the middle section of the home, otherwise known as the great room. The open kitchen, dining, and living areas make it the perfect commonplace for friends and family to gather together and create those special memories. The unobstructed windows make it possible for you and your guests to enjoy exceptional views of the river, even from the comfort of the couch.
The chef of the group will appreciate the gourmet kitchen, complete with everything needed to create signature dishes that can then be enjoyed at the generously-sized dining table set in the heart of the room. If dining al fresco is more your style, you can step out the door just off the kitchen and make use of the outdoor table, so long as you won’t be too distracted by the exquisite views surrounding you. In case BBQ is more your speed, an outdoor grill is also provided, and no need to bring your own propane; we’ve got you covered!
There is no need to worry about any food spills either, as there is a laundry nook in the hallway just off the kitchen. In that same hallway, you’ll also find the entrance to a ½ bath, and you’ll likely notice a wooden ladder leading to a secret gem…a loft complete with a queen-sized bed that overlooks the great room. Venture along the railed wooden walkway that stretches the length of the common spaces below and take advantage of the personal reading nook, which truly is the best seat in the house.
When it comes time to reset and rewind, there are several sleeping arrangements to consider. Take the breezeway off one side of the main portion of the home, and you’ll discover steps leading up to the bunkhouse; an intimate space complete with its own kitchenette and eating area. Across the hall, you’ll have a choice between the bunk guest room or perhaps the second guest room, where a double bed can be found. Continue down the hallway and you’ll stumble upon a full-sized bathroom and yet another bedroom with a queen-sized bed, deck access, and a small gas fireplace for your enjoyment. Each of these beds has a riverside view and is comfortably wrapped in our freshly laundered hotel-quality linens to enhance an amazing night’s sleep.
If a more personal space is desired, the master suite on the opposing side of the home is the place to be. Here, you can expect to find a ¾ bathroom with a shower as well as a personal coffee bar/vanity, and another gas fireplace.
