The entrance code for the door was to be the last four digits of my phone number, but apparently they entered it incorrectly. I tried for half an hour sitting on the front stoop to reach the owner. Finally I called VRBO's customer service number. They were able to reach the owner and told them to send me a new code. Unfortunately, they sent it to my incorrect phone number, so another 15 minutes followed until Customer Service gave me an alternate number to reach out to the owner and get the code. 45 minutes in the heat. Then we get inside only to find that the air conditioning was only in one of the second floor bedrooms and did nothing to cool the downstairs and offered very little relief for the second bedroom upstairs. All in all, not a stellar experience.
