This home was built to ENTERTAIN and GATHER friends and family for an enjoyable time away with calming lake views and plenty of opportunity for water fun! Wake up with a mug of coffee on the screened porch with a FULL VIEW OF THE LAKE in a gently sloped wooded lot. Have a bonfire as the sun goes down and roast s'mores with PERFECT SUMMERTIME SUNSET VIEWS off the end of the dock (see photos).

The Hangout’s unique layout provides the perfect gathering place for multiple friends and families to comfortably share Hyco Lake together. The main house offers 1,675 square foot of space with a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, a cot and two additional bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The second house, called the 'Hut', is connected by the breezeway and provides an additional 550 square feet of space to gather during the day but offers two sets of bunk beds, a day bed, a sleeper sofa and a bathroom for additional guests. Between these two spaces, there is a 700 sqft breezeway with covered outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. Altogether, this spacious 2,225 square feet can easily sleep 10 comfortably on beds with an additional day bed, sleeper sofa, trundle, and cot to accommodate another 4-6 guests. The bedroom layout is as follows (see the floor plan for more details):

Master: Sleep Number Queen Bed (with cot)
Upstairs Bedroom: Queen (with Pack & Play)
Upstairs Bedroom: Two twins (with two Trundles)
Hut: Two sets of twin bunk beds (with day bed & sleeper sofa)

Beyond sleeping accommodations, our cove has low boat traffic with a shallow, walk-in water beach area that is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing right off the beach or spacious dock. Finally, the Hangout includes all the amenities you would want or need at a lake: 2 kayaks, fishing poles & tackle, water toys, propane grill, foosball table, mini ping pong table, indoor board/card games, DVD Player, firepit, free WIFI, and a 50' TV with a Roku Stick and Netflix account included (bring your own Amazon or other cable accounts).

Finally, if you are venturing out of our property, we are only minutes to the only marina, convenient store and restaurant (Buoy's Bar & Grill) at Hyco for fresh morning biscuits and evening drinks. Beyond that, we have easy access to the highway for visiting Danville, VIR, Milton, Semora, Roxboro, Durham, or any other local town.
