Four Frio Sisters is a charming house nestled on a hillside in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. You can enjoy the fantastic views and million dollar sunsets from a swing on the back porch or enjoy a game of dominoes with friends on the covered front porch. Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, relaxing around the outdoor fireplace, playing horseshoes, laying in the hammock, grilling steaks or sitting on a bench watching the wildlife and day dreaming are only a few of the outdoor activities available. For those youngsters and young at heart adults feel free to enjoy our teeter totter. At the end of the day you can shower under the stars in our private outdoor shower.

Once inside the house you can enjoy all the amenities of home with a Texas country charm. There is plenty of room to entertain around our wood burning fire place and large open loft. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dinnerware, and cookware. There are books to read and binoculars to use for viewing the wildlife and birds in the Frio Canyon. Open the windows at night to enjoy the cool fresh air and sounds of the surrounding countryside.

Four Frio Sisters is only a few minutes drive to the Frio River, Garner State Park, and Leakey, TX. The Three Sisters Drive is also only minutes away with Lost Maples State Natural Area only 25 miles down the road.

There are year round activities in the Frio Canyon area ranging from tubing/kayaking the Frio in the summer, enjoying the fall foliage in autumn, hiking/hunting in the winter, and viewing wildflowers in the spring. The bird watching is fabulous year round. World Class Golf is available at Concan Country Club. Don't forget the summer time outdoor dances at Garner! Made in Texas!

We enjoyed our stay, the space was roomy and private. Enjoyed the front and back porches. It was easy to get from the cabin to Garner State Park. We would go back.

Best family vacation!
It was a very nice and cozy property with great amenities. It was fun from when we arrived until we left. I cannot wait to come back because of how beautiful the scenery is. Although it was hot when we were there, the shade the trees provide definitely kept us very cool and made hanging outside tolerable.

Frio Fun
Our family celebrated Father’s Day weekend at the Four Frio Sisters Cabin! We had the MOST amazing time, napping in the hammock, s’mores by the fire, campfire songs, and swimming in the Frio River! The location is perfect to get to Garner State Park. The cabin is roomy and adorable. The pictures do NOT do it justice! We can’t wait to come back!

Everything we hoped for
We had an amazing experience at four frio sisters. The views were breath taking and beautiful. My family had a wonderful time taking a break from the city life. From the cabin to garner was only a couple of minutes. We hope to make this a tradition. And thank you for sharing this gem with us.

What we expected
Overall the cabin was what we expected. Having no linens and no cleaning service was somewhat strange, but the heat worked well and the proximity to Garner and Lost Maples was great.

Family Trip.
We had an amazing time at this property. This is our 3rd visit over the years. This is a beautiful two story home, that is set in the heart of the Texas hills. Just down the road from garner state park, this place has everything you could want and more. It's always clean and beautifully decorated. When we go, our days are filled with campfires, bocce ball, relaxing, and stunning scenery/surroundings. This place has become a family staple, and we hope to continue to enjoy it for many years to come. Thank you for allowing us to stay again! It truly feels like home away from home!

Frio
As far the property, it was exactly what we were looking for based on the reason for the trip (float the river)! The place could use a little “TLC” and maybe Wi-Fi for the kiddos! Cigarettes were everywhere and the dishes were dirty in the dishwasher when we got there but it was a nice place overall! Like I said, with a little attention and some upgrades it would’ve been perfect!

Relaxation at its finest.
My family and I were very impressed with our stay. The pictures do not do it justice. The peacefulness of this place is exactly what you need when coming to the frio. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids. They loved it. Bird watching with coffee in the morning is unreal. Multiple swings around the property. Plenty of space for the kids to run freely with out any worries. Solitude, peace, and quiet is exactly what you get. The bbq pit works great. Real cast iron pit. Cooks meat great. The lights above the bbq pit area look amazing at night. The inside ac unit cools very well for a hot day. Over all we were very happy with our trip. We will definitely be back Thank you four sisters for an excellent experience we’ll never forget.

We had a wonderful time! The kids really enjoyed the yard area and swings, and the bunk area was perfect for them! Adults enjoyed the front porch in the evening after the kids went to bed and the sunset from the back porch is amazing! The owners were very responsive to any questions and/or issues.

Fun cabin
We liked staying at the cabin, but know that that is what it is-- not a motel or a house. Rustic, not fancy for sure. Couple things I thought I'd add to the other reviews: 1) Verizon does not work here, or anywhere within 15 miles, and there is no wifi. 2) Although certainly navigable, the driveway is rough, experienced motorcyclists are OK, beginners will tremble. 3) There are lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy the Hill Country views: the front porch with ceiling fans, the back deck with chair swing, the fire pit area (probably night only, no shade) and the front yard under the trees. This was my favorite thing about the cabin. 4) Bringing your own towels and sheets is kinda weird, but just be aware of that. We were on motorcycles, so it was more of an issue for us than most. 5) I think the pandemic has been hard on Leakey and the area. You might check on which restaurants are open on which days, choices were sparse and you may wish to do your homework on that.
