We enjoyed our stay however you should let people know in advance about no AC, luckily it cooled down enough at night with fans
The Hot tub was unusable very dirty. We were looking forward to using it but weren’t able to
Many of the dishes were sure in cupboards we cleaned a bunch of them
We would go back if you fixed these
Excellent place looked exactly like the photos showed
We got the larger place in case extra friends passed through to hunt. It’s a Turkey hunter thing
so it was more than we needed but excellent place for large group plenty of beds, baths large kitchen and eating area
Exceeded my expectations!
And I rarely say that
Thank you Eagles Nest!
We were all very pleased with the property. The views were great, the attention to detail was awesome. I hope to be able to return soon. My little family needed this getaway together. Thank you!
This cabin was so cute! Face towels, lotions, cotton swabs, etc provided in all bathrooms was a nice touch. Hot tub was huge and HOT. Only downside was no wifi but we all had data connection.
Very great property! Cozy cabin. Wish it was slightly closer to Deadwood. Steep driveway. Great and responsive property manager.
No high chair or pack and play for babies.
We were out in the Hills snowmobiling and the property was everything and more. We loved the space by the house to park our vehicles and snowmobiles. We had to park our trailer down at the bottom of the hill in the parking area due to icy driveway but it worked great. Home was well stocked and they had some great extras we enjoyed. Very comfortable place to stay and we would definitely stay again. Other than the steep driveway it was wonderful.
The house was big enough and had room for all of us . Had a lot of kettles and kitchen stuff to use. Was nice having the washer and dryer there for the kids wet clothes after they got out of the hot tub .
The kids were disappointed there was no place for them to go play . But we got by
The house was nice and large. If all members had made it, the size would have worked for 15 family members. It really needs a deep cleaning and updated cooking items. Storage containers would have been nice. Great hot tub. Great location. There is no air conditioning so it can get warm.
Perfect for a group of 12! Kitchen has everything you need to make meals and store leftovers. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a nice size with lots of towels for a large group. The garage was perfect for 6 motorcycles, especially with the rain we had. We used the gas grill quite a bit, it ran out of propane and they even had a back up one on hand. They have definitely thought of everything to make sure you have what you need during your stay! Host was very responsive when I reached out during our stay, I would highly recommend this home!
Beautiful views! Very nice and quiet. Very convenient to surrounding area and activities. Some of the beds more comfortable than others. Overall appearance was clean. But had lots of dishes put away dirty(probably recents guests). Found trash etc left behind from other guests. Grills dirty etc. I would suggest that cleaning crew do a better job between guests.
Myself and a group of friends (14 of us in total) stayed at the cabin the last weekend in July. The cabin was perfect. There were plenty of rooms, beds, couches and extra spaces for air mattresses and cots for all of us to find places to sleep. The nights got cool enough that the lack of AC was not an issue at all, just open the windows. The location is beautiful, and it is close to a lot of fun things to do. We went golfing at the Lead Country Club and the Tomahawk Country Club, and we rented a party bus to get us to Deadwood and back one of the nights. I would absolutely look into staying here again the next time we have a large group of us wanting to visit the area.
Good location. Grill was not clean when we used it. No Wi-Fi. Add said it had it. How do you cool off house when no screen door on living rm door or other windows. Few TV channels.
Overall, this was a good experience. Easy to find but yet secluded. Cabin worked great for our family of 14. Our kids (ages 6-9) loved the hot tub. It is very close to Lead, SD and Deadwood, SD. Numerous activities to do within an hour of the cabin's location. The one downside to our stay, was the number of spiders we found within the downstairs bathroom and bedroom. I realize we are in the Blackhills and woods in general, and this type of thing is probably expected to some degree, but there were quite a few. All in all, would consider staying here again.
The cabin was amazing! Close to Deadwood and Lead! Plenty of space for our family and kids! The kids had so much options in terms of things to do like play foosball, hot tub, puzzles, games, TV, but not so much if they brought electronics due to no Wi-Fi. But they survived and enjoyed themselves. We would definitely recommend this place! And would love to come back in the future! One tip obey the speed limit, one of our family members was stopped at the end of the driveway by a neighbor with a copy of the rules and was told she had been watching them and others and they had not been going the recommended 15mph speed limit. All in all we slept great and got some much needed relaxation!
Our family had a terrific time in the Northern Black Hills and a big part of it was the home we stayed in. The check in was a breeze and the house was spotless. The cabin location was ideal with access to the central and southern Black Hills. We had a couple of thunderstorms roll through , one the night before we went four wheeling. This just added to the fun as when we finished we were covered with mud. The family rode the 1880 train from Hill City to Keystone and back. Great fund for the toddlers. Our teens and young adult hit the zip line and the Alpine slide. Hats off to the host we had one minor incident (a leak in one of the bathrooms). I contacted Derek and within an hour we had a plumber there to fix it. This is exactly what renters want is a responsive host. Forgot about the hot tub which was used a great deal.
There were 10 in our group. Lots of room, clean, great view of ski slopes ((would love to come back in the winter) and quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was a blessing after long days of exploring the beautiful Black Hills! Thanks for sharing your home. Highly recommend
