"The proprieter and his wife are very interested in pleasing their guests. The accommodation was quite lovely..........but up a steep flight of circular stairs. It lacked a seating area and a chest of drawers. The home-made jams ere wonderful when matched with the fresh croissants in the morning."

"The Chateau du Palanquey is an amazing property. There are only a handful of rooms and it is very secluded. The owners helped us out with wonderful local restaurant recommendations and a brilliant wine experience. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It was magnificent. "

"It was the trip of a lifetime and our host, Jo, could not have been more fantastic! Attentive and knowledgeable about everything we needed. A perfect place for visiting the entire area. We stayed 5 weeks and had a total of 39 people stay during that time. Everyone loved the house. A perfect place for celebrating with family and friends. Jo suggested Chef Celine for special meals in the house and she was amazing. I did not want to leave. A truly magical place!"

Beautiful Home with Potential, but Needs Updates

"This is a beautiful home filled with lovely antiques, so much so that I suggested the management company take an inventory of all the priceless items. The house sits on a stunning piece of land with unique trees that suggest the owner may have been an arborist—truly a nature lover's dream. However, there were a few downsides. Despite having two bathrooms, there is only one toilet, as the second bathroom only has a bidet. The appliances are in serious need of updating. Most looked like they were from the 1970s. The refrigerator barely kept food cold, the stove didn't work, and the top oven was damaged and seemed like a fire hazard. The dishwasher and the heat didn't work either. We also had issues with the bathroom sink, which was loose, and the shower that backed up. Additionally, the gate for the driveway was decrepit, and opening the front door was a herculean task. While this house has incredible potential and charm, it definitely needs some attention and updates to make future stays more comfortable. "
