"I had the worst experience with a host. After I booked and paid through Vrbo, for 48 nights for 14 persons, the owner asked for an additional payment of 42% of the price. I thought it is unbelievable. I did not accept this, I wanted to cancel. After some days of messaging, when the emergency state was imposed in France and she realized she will not get other guests, she accepted my offer to pay a small additional amount and finalized the booking. "Sylvie and Hubert were excellent hosts who made us feel very welcome. The house is set in a lovely location, and it was great to have the pool during the heatwave. Nearby Bernay is an amazing town -- don't miss the Saturday market."
