We came to see the Châteaux of the Loire and there were many located very close to the gite. We didn't realise from the description that the bathroom was on a different floor to the bedrooms. "A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice.
