"The property is delightfully situated, in the grounds of the owners house. They were very pleasant and helpful. On arrival the property was spotlessly clean, it is well equipped. So much to see in the area. The Owners Direct site needs to be amended on page 5 where it states Air conditioning which it does not have, also towels provided, this would be at extra cost. Wir bevorzugten als Strand die Côte Sauvage , aber auch die Strände entlang der Küste um Royan waren sehr gut zu erreichen. Der Vorteil , nicht direkt an der Küste zu wohnen: französische Lebensart abseits der Touristenmeilen zu erleben . Märkte , Cafés , Boulangerien, Feste , kleine Restaurants und Bistros , Kirchen und Abteien . Und natürlich speziell in der Region : Austern und andere Meeresfrüchte absolut...

"The gite was clean, modern and welcoming with all the equipment you need for a relaxed holiday. The courtyard was a sun trap, totally private and perfect for evening drinks after a wonderful day exploring the island.
