"This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Beautiful architecture and garden. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here many times. It is my favorite hotel in Kathmandu! I highly recommend staying at Hotel Shankar, especially if it’s your first visit to Nepal. My stays at the hotel are always memorable!"

"No bathrobes or slippers as stated in room spec. No towels either so i had to request them and then i got two wet towels. You had to ask everything what tine is breakfast, where do i go to eat it. They didnt tell me there was a power cut so i was tryng to get the tv to work for 20 minutes. Spec say two restaurants but i only saw one and an employee told me they dont do dinner. Wifi didnt work upstairs so had to sit in reception, again had to ask what is the code then why doesnt it work....

"We had two different stays at Hotel Tibet, before and after our trek in Himalayan mountains. It was our sanctuary! The staff are incredible, so accommodating and attentive. It is beautifully furnished and comfortable. Narayan at front desk was so warm and wonderful!. We met the owner of the hotel and she was so fun to talk to and shared some interesting stories. They truly made feel at home."
