Girls Trip
Let me start off by saying we absolutely loved this cabin. The cabin as a whole was great. However, they should probably consider getting a different cleaning crew. The fans all had cob webs and very thick dust. There were dead bugs hanging in the stairwell to the basement. The downstairs bunk and sleeper sofa are basically in the garage. While that wasn't a huge deal, it should probably be thrown out there. The hot tub was perfect. The bunk beds squeaked with every movement and were not at all comfortable...... Plus the only way to climb them was at the foot board.... There's no ladder. Again.... We LOVED this cabin, but definitely were disappointed in a few things.

Awesome place to stay
The property was amazing. Plenty of room for all 7 and 2 dogs. The area was great. Far enough away for privacy but close enough to go do things. The river was cool and had plenty of fish. Would definitely stay here again!

Place was nice. As advertised, right on the river. I Admitted to outside pet damage and got charged for every mark that was already present inside the unit. Should of just not said anything since they aren’t inspecting the property between visitors. The air intakes where filthy and there was either food or sand in one of the king beds. Looks like the cleaning crew is cutting corners and no one is inspecting. Price is a bit high but it’s a corporate run money making cabin so minimal effort max profit. May stay again but would detail all damage as i check in.

The cabin was perfect. The river was right in the front of the cabin. The dog kennel was perfect for my dogs. It was a nice secluded area. I will be going back in the future

Fantastic find for a vacation rental. The house was amazing and extremely clean. Hot tub, grill and fire pit really made it over the top, not to mention that view of the river!

Beautiful place, no snow removal
We LOVED the place and had a wonderful stay overall. The cabin is a unique, spacious, and comfortable place with spectacular views and lovely features. However, a number of critters has taken up residence in between the ceiling and the roof, most likely where the insulation is. Lots of scurrying and squeaking goin’ on up there at all hours of the day and night. We found it to be more humorous than bothersome, since they were clearly NOT IN the house, thank goodness, (the interior of the home was spotless😉🥰), but other renters may find this to be more of a problem/issue. Our only real complaint had nothing to do with the house at all, but was with the management company’s lack of a protocol for snow removal. If you’re going to rent in the winter you really shouldn’t require vacationers to try and figure out on their own how to get themselves dug out, especially when dealing with very long, steep, gravel driveways and roads. Yes, we had a 4 wheel drive vehicle, yes, we parked it by the road, and we brought with us a shovel and ice melt - we are originally from up north so we know what we are doing with snow - but that’s not the point. We are paying to be on vacation, not to shovel someone else’s driveway so we can simply get out and enjoy our vacation, never mind the logistics of loading luggage to check out and try and leave on time. We would love to rent here again in the future but not in the winter, not unless a snow removal policy is provided. It is otherwise an absolutely lovely place in a spectacular spot.

Fabulous and relaxing
Gorgeous setting, spacious cabin filled with natural light, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and the most relaxing wrap-around porch, hammock, and hot tub! The expansive binder with recommendations for hiking, biking, and tons of activities was just icing on the cake. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Mountain getaway
Great home with a decent view and great overall location in the mountains. We enjoyed the river and the jacuzzi. The outdoor upkeep was fabulous. It provided privacy and room for everyone. My only suggestions are: work o the control remote controls, they are a bit hard to work specially the one in the living room. The surround sound system in the basement did not work. And it would be helpful to have a listing of the kitchen equipment provided. Thanks for the stay

Fun on the river!
We had a wonderful time! The house has a great porch overlooking the river - we sat out there listening to the water each morning while we had our coffee. The kids had a blast playing in the water and floating on the tubes down the river. The house is very spacious. We would definitely stay here again!

Not as expected
Post this review on the Vrbo for this place: “This place advertises satellite tv, but there is no cable, as there are approx 8 local channels and that’s it. You have to have Netflix, Amazon, etc video accounts to even watch tv. We couldn’t resolve the satellite tv issue because there is no cell service here. The property management co emailed to “resolve the tv issue with an online chat with the skybest tv service.” That never worked either. The hot tub quit working (no heat) the last two days we were there as well. The couch and two recliners are uncomfortable. Also, if you’re looking for a good nights sleep, you may want to look elsewhere. In the lower master bedroom, you can hear every movement above. Upstairs master bed squeaks every time you move an inch. Bugs are part of the mountain per guestbook-did not think there would be so many beetles (?)in the house. Recommend black out shades in bedrooms and an upgrade of linens. Disappointed overall aside from River sounds and view.

Beautiful location, comfortable cabin
The location, overlooking the New River was gorgeous. I could get lost just watching it go by, or listening to it, while hanging out by the firepit. Hot tub was great for me after running the local roads and biking the Virginia Creeper Trail (hour+ away), pool table was great for my poolshark of a wife, and the wifi was great for my daughter who had to give an online presentation. Good kitchen, comfy rooms. We came in mid-November and can't wait to come back to try the tubing. Nice to have the kids hanging out downstairs, while the adults could read or talk in peace upstairs. I think this is the most beautiful area in NC.

Peak Creek Cabin
Great property in a great area. Cabin was well equipped and very comfortable. River view was awesome and dogs loved it. Area was a nice change from the over-crowding down the road in Boone and Blowing Rock. Not a big deal but a back up roll of TP and Paper towels when we arrive as well as an upgrade to bigger and nicer bath towels would be our only suggestion. These items did not match the otherwise 5 stars of this cabin.

Great stay!
Really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Our family loved being on the river and right in the woods. Really had that ‘up north’ feel! The hot tub, pool table, fire pit and fire table were all utilized and appreciated. The rooms were clean and space in general was large enough to where we didn’t feel crowded during our stay. A couple of our family members had to work while there, so the desk/work area was a nice perk for us as well. The town nearby was cute and had great little shops and restaurants. The view while floating down the river was incredible also. Overall it was a great experience and our family loved it!
