"We had come to Klagenfurt for a parkrun and had no idea what to expect. The hotel was currently changing brands so we dropped bags off as one chain but checked in as a different hotel chain. Although there was some teething issues with the brand change, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Plus kept it personalised but professional. "The hotel was a little walk from downtown, but I felt comfortable walking through the neighborhoods at night. It was very easy to walk from the train station to the hotel and then from the hotel to downtown Villach. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful; the manager was positively the best. She gave me great recommendations and was very quick in responding to my emails. My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to meet her to thank her in person. "

"We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad op de boerderij van de fam Sabitzer. We waren met 2 gezinnen, in totaal 9 kinderen maar er was ruimte genoeg zowel binnenshuis als buitenshuis. Veel speelgelegenheid voor de kinderen. De boer en boerin wonen er naast en waren erg vriendelijk en hebben erg hun best gedaan om het ons naar het zin te maken. "We stayed for 1 night travelling from Salzburg to Venice. A clean and friendly family feel to this place in a spectacular location with supermarket couple of mins drive away. Staff were welcoming and helpful and supplied a good breakfast. Our room was fairly basic but gave what was required but we did have to report a running toilet and the room got very hot due to heatwave and lack of any air con. Balcony was an added bonus. "

"Wonderful one night stay. The bed and comforter for me was very cozy! Located on the main street of Villach to access shops, restaurants, and about 10 minutes to the train station. "

"I stayed here for two weeks I love it, the apartment has everything you need the only thing that was missing is ironing board and washing machine. The only downside was it was too noisy when you open the window because it was directly towards the main road however it was the best apartment I’ve stayed in that area it’s so beautiful decorated and clean and massive space, the reception was really friendly and nice"

"Overall an amazing hotel and beautiful area, I just got an “family room” with door option to the neighbor room and could hear every sound, sadly the neighbors with 2 kids screamed most of the night as well as the morning. "

"This property is located in a beautiful place, room was ok, and staff was friendly. However the hotel site and the ad are misleading and I will explain why. My friends and I were on a two week road-trip and this was our final stop before driving home to Germany. "Hotel City is ideal for a short or extended stay in Villach. Courteous and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent staff. A great breakfast is included in price. Location couldn’t be better-across square from railway station, beside bus terminal and convenient to centre of town which is only a few minutes stroll. Highly recommended "

"Great location near the train station. Ample parking if you need to park a car. Housekeeping kept the room clean daily. Bed was too soft, not good for my back. Aircon didn’t work properly when I was there."
