the property is old and rundown. The room we stayed in had rust in the sink, and hairs still in the sink and tub. We asked for housekeeping but never got it. We paid for a courtyard room and was given one on the second floor, and was told it was a courtyard view room, and if we had a problem about that we should take it up with Expedia. They were not helpful at all

Great hotel with comfortable beds. The coffee pot was a bonus and parking free. The only thing that wasn’t excellent is there was no hot water to have a shower in the morning.

The room was nice. The bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the check in lady at the front desk was rude. We didn't take onto account the time change, and when we tried to check in she said "seriously, it's only 1130. Rooms won't be ready until 2 at the earliest". We aren't used to being treated that way when we stay anywhere else. But otherwise our trip was very relaxing as it was intended to be.

The Casino area is well maintained and guest areas, the elevator was dirty. There were no dining options past 9, had to leave the hotel to go to another. There was no live entertainment. The room was dated, furniture beat up, and not enough electronic charging outlets.

The courtyard, lobby & entry were beautifully decorated. We could hear the guests in the room beside us and constant pitter patter of feet above us and next door. The carpet in our room was dirty.

When we first got into the room the room was not clean found a water bottle under the bed. It was extremely dusty. The heater did not work in our room. It made a buzzing sound everytime you turned it on. They sent up their " engineers" to fix the problem. Not only did 4 different people come up to look at the issue and noone could figure out why it was making the noise. Its safe to say they were not real engineers maybe some people they found on the street. Two of them looked like they were high on drugs. We asked for extra towels and one lady refused to give us towels. They house keeping did a terrible job at cleaning the bathroom and our rooms we never got new bedding. Even after i told them one of my child got sick they never came in and disinfectant the room. I even offer to clean the room myself as long as the brought me up the cleaning supplies. Would never stay here again. Do not recommend

Housekeeping fail. Our room had no heat, telephone or adequate lighting when we checked in. 2 hours later heat was only working halfway, engineering tried to fix phone and couldn't but did get lightbulbs in. Front desk couldn't move us, first because housekeeping hadn't released more rooms and then because hotel was full. Also no cups, one decaf coffee. Engineer also talked to front desk to get us moved and had to tell us instead no rooms available and the phone down the hall was available! We had planned to stay two days and left next morning after going down for breakfast only to be told that it was not opening until 7 when both sign at entrance and online told us 6am. This was after noticing as we got off elevator that a trash can by lobby was overflowing with trash and had trash on floor. We were comped our resort fee. This hotel needs management and maintenance. Ruined our vacation.

The Golden Nugget is a nice property in Laughlin. Our beds were comfortable and the casino is pretty. I don't know why they charge a $16 resort fee in January. You can't use the pool and they don't have a gym.
