"The cottage is very nice. It is on two levels, the kitchen/dining is down quite a steep staircase that I found difficult to negotiate. February 2015 A view along Grassmarket in Edinburgh, taken while spending a weekend in this great city. There are many areas of Edinburgh to explore and having spent a couple of hours on a walking tour here, I would thoroughly recommend this as a way of getting to know those places off the usual tourist track.

Didn’t explore Lasswade other than being at The Castle grounds but it had a direct bus to the city center
