"This is a beautiful property and a great location -- all for a reasonable price. I do recommend it but with a few caveats. The good: it's outside Cefalu (about a 10 minute drive to the center of town). As wonderful as Cefalu is, its quite busy and bustling...and this place is a peaceful haven. It's also less than 5 minutes from Sant Ambrogio-- a tiny gem of a town worth visiting for the view and the two very good restaurants. "We stayed for 1 night en route to Cefalu. It's quite off the beaten track with some windy roads. Our room was clean and tidy, basic but spacious with air conditioning! However, we asked for some food as we arrived in the evening, and whilst the small plates of tapas were enjoyable, the Manager proceeded to charge us €15 each (€30 total) for some ham, tomato and mozzarella, bread, aubergine and a bottle of water. "The house: 5* Attractive house, three exceptionally clean bathrooms and good, hot, strong showers. Well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher, microwave coffee machine, freezer). All the bedrooms had working aircon. Outdoor space with a huge dining table, in addition to lounge chairs and table tennis table (all equipment provided). Salvatore and his parents prepare the property beautifully - welcome pack of food and water, wine in fridge. Anti-mosquito plug-ins provided throughout house....
