When we arrived, all the culinary staff were on strike so all the restaurants were shut. Not one word of this was mentioned at check-in. There were strikers picketing outside but this also wasn't mentioned and over the three nights of our stay, their numbers swelled and they became much more aggressive and intimidating towards staff and customers. Regardless of the justifiaction or otherwise for the strike the hotel managed it appallingly. They managed to get one restaurant open enough for a buffet breakfast (at $35 a head) but didn't tell us that or let us know the hours. The only option for refreshments seemed to be Dunkin' Donuts and one of the bars. At no point did anyone acknowledge or apologise for the situation. On our last night, thoroughly fed up with the situation and by the abuse outside, we complained at the front desk. Again no apology, the girl told us they were not allowed to discuss it. She did get her supervisor whose whole attitude was basically 'tough'. Eventually she said she'd refund the three nights resort fee (and don't get me started on that!) but couldn't do more as we'd booked through a third party - Expedia - and to take it up with them!. It is hardly Expedia's fault that the hotel failed to deliver the service and facilities we'd booked. The resort fee wasn't refunded correctly so we ended up in a battle with them to sort it. Attitude was awful. Valet staff were great esp as they had to put up with racket outside. Virgin - sort it out!

There was picketers in front if the hotel and there was limited to no options for 24 hr food, bar, and other amenities. I should have been notified about the strike and given an option to change hotels. I support unions and this was a slap in the face of my fellow union members and workers! It was loud me and my party was subjected to ridicule and name calling by the picketers. The hotel did offer a 50$ credit towards hotel fees but I would I preferred not to have given my money to company who doesn’t respect their employees.

Virgin hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The design and layout was very nice. My visit was in November so I didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor amenities or the pool. I would highly consider coming back just to take a swim or poolside cocktail.

I’ve stayed at the Virgin Hotel several times, but this stay was not the best. There were hotel workers protesting was very noisy and they harassed hotel guests. The bell hop stated it would 10-15 mins to receive my bags, it took over an hour. This inconvenienced my plans and caused for disruption. I don’t think Virgin Hotel is a good hotel to visit right now. They need to work on internal issues.

Very close to the airport so the plane noise is loud. You can also hear people talking loudly through the vents. Unfortunately, there was a strike happening at the hotel and they protestors were yelling all through the night and we could hear it in our room. It also meant many of the restaurants etc were closed so there were few options and long lines. It was fine because we stayed there for an event at the theater but otherwise wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff is super friendly....thanks Wendy, Courtney and Cindy and the cool barback. The rooms are warm and quiet and the vibe is super laid back. The only real draw back was the conflicting music playing in the bar that was completely different than what was playing in the overall hotel. It was annoying to constantly have to listen to two different songs playing at the same time while in the bar.

Very nice rooms and staff were very kind! Smaller casino and off the strip - very quiet place. Would recommend more for folks looking to relax by the pool.

Had to deal with protester out side of hotel shaming people for staying at the hotel. Had to pay for cabs to go get food because restaurants in hotel was shut down due to staff of the hotel being on strike.

Comfortable room, great ac/heater, okay channel selections, not too far from other food spots and short distance drive from the Strip or 45 min walk but a lot of construction goin on for raceway being built, hard to find Uber/Lyft pick-up spots near the strip, usually are downstairs/down elevators
