Disgruntled in Las Vegas
First the listing should have stayed this was a time share vacation.
Second not sure if this was a sales tactic by the “owner”. Originally I had booked 3 nights at the same location. Within weeks of my arrival he said he mistook and had only two nights available. Being a busy weekend i panicked. He rushed me to make a decision of what to do. The. He said he found me another location for the remaining night. What he failed to tell me was I would be greeted with a sales push to buy a timeshare. Yes, it was optional but I have never in my life would have stayed at a location if I knew it. On top of sitting through a 2 hour presentation we had to go to the 2nd location the next day to check in. I am out $80 round trip in can fare and lost 4 hours of my vacation because of his error. When I asked to be reimbursed for the cab fare because of his error he said NO.
VRBO be more transparent about the properties that are time share vacation so I can make an informed decision if I want to stay there.
Very disappointed. I have used VRBO for over 4 years and everyone stay was perfect.
